Plugins and themes for WordPress are written in php, a programming language. It is possible get the ability to edit the php through WA support if you have the experience with programming.

Note that being able to program in php is not enough. One also needs a sound understanding of how WordPress and it's libraries work.

For most, being able to edit php can be disastrous. One inadvertent character or space in the wrong place can take your entire site down.

The concept of creating a website from purely HTML does NOT exist in WordPress. Posts and other content is stored in a database and is not directly editable.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. How can I write the content on the page source? What are the steps to follow?

Login to the WordPress page with a role that can edit pages (admin will always work). Under the posts or pages menu, you can edit the page. Look for the tab labeled "Text" next to the "Visual" tab. The "Text" view is HTML without <HEAD> or <BODY> tags. Not all tags are supported but most text and image tags are as well as shortcut codes (often related to plugin capabilities).

Created a quick training for this but apparently I am not allowed to post until I've been a member for a few more months :(

Hi,

Wordpress sites are not simple html pages. The pages are generated from the php templates and files which they are created from.

The sort of things that are safe for edit are CSS (formatting, text images, positioning, hiding/showing objects)

You can go to appearance ----> Editor. From there you can edit your theme/template files. Go ahead and do this if you know what you are doing. Otherwise you can stop your site from working.

Wordpress is a content management that creates the webpages for you. You shouldn't need to create web pages from scratch.

However that is your choice.

Thanks for answering. I was not planning on building the page from scratch but on editing some specific details. I am not familiar with wp. I have created websites in the past from scratch which is more difficult but somehow I have not found wp user friendly. I only see the way to create the website using the preloaded templates and some basic stuff. However, I have not found the way to customize the templates. Probably there is a way but I am not familiar with this program.
By the way let me clarify that I am editing on WA. Do I need to download WP on my PC? If not, how can I create hyperlinks and connect to landing pages from my page? How can I add hyperlinks to pictures etc? More important, how can I edit the page content keywords? Thanks again. I have watched some tutorials on wp but they are basic. Is there a more detailed tutorial on how to use wp in details? Thanks again,
Dan.

I'd go on youtube if you want more wp training. You can edit template files as mentioned in my previous reply.

Wordpress will be installed on your host. With some hosts wordpress has already been installed for you. Of course you can install a local copy on your machine. However that also involves installing a web hosting platform such as apache server or iis.

If you haven't yet, do the training and you will have enough information to get affiliate marketing working for you with the minimum amount of WP knowledge.

WP deals with all the landing pages, create menu items for you. It eliminates the need to use html. Within WP page and post editors it will allow you to insert html.

Thanks for your help. I'll try that.
