so how much is 'making money online'?
I mean, I know it's a rude question and I also know it's dependant on your niche and personal effort - but I wonder what the average income is for someone that follows the program? Am I going to be able to buy a cup of coffee next month? Dinner the following month, my monthly WA payment and then my car loan next year? I know there is no guarantee, no checklist for making a living this way but how much is luck? Yes, I did the money goals lesson and many people commented on my post as well as lots of others but I haven't seen anyone say "whoa there buddy, that's highly improbable" or even a warning about setting realistic goals - maybe that's in lessons to come or maybe I'm always a cynic. What would the WA community consider a good paycheck or number of hits in the first few months? In six months?
How about finances and taxes? I would guess that if it turns into a decent income stream my accountant would be able to write off some expenses - shouldn't I be keeping track of my time and supplies? (Is this where I insert my link for a commision for my accountant/tax preparer? :-))
And whilst I'm at it, why are people so keen for me to put up a 'real picture'? Am I any less real or serious because I choose to use a stock photo? What happened to the days of 'you can be anyone you want on the internet'? I could be a boy or girl, man or woman or perhaps just rather unattractive. In actuality I'm an intensely private person of the female variety, middle-aged and don't have any piccies without resorting to a selfie. I'll put one up when I get a chance, I'm just rather uncomfortable asking someone to take my picture - I was a photographer for a number of years which automatically makes me camera-shy.
Fabulous new idea for a niche - how to take a selfie without it looking like a selfie!!! C'mon Jaaxy, do me right!

Hello ;) I honestly don't care about the picture, wealthy affiliate is not an online dating site :D A picture is important for your own business because customers need to trust to spend their money, i don't really see the point in wa because we wont sell to each other but we learn ;)
I also think everybody is free to use the picture he want to.
I use avatars on some of my websites and many marketers do it, seems like not much people talk about this xD
A good paycheck is for me 3000 dollars and i'm far from it, the money i earn after 10 month wealthy affiliate help me a lot on my life and In maybe 1 years i will reach my 3000 i know it ^^
About finance and taxe, i don't know i'm from France and it's différent but i created a micro company to keep it legit.

I appreciate your input Khaos. My I ask - just to clarify - you hope that after one year you will be making $3000 per month on your site? Honestly, I'm just trying to be realistic. I'm goal driven but again easily disappointed if I come no where near my goal. I'd rather set something realistic.
BTW - I'm not really fussed about the picture, it's just two people asked in the space of less than a day, which, although unintentional, did feel a bit creepy. That of course is the problem with this form of communication, it's difficult to indicate sarcasm or mild confusion in the written word.
My goal is to make 3000 dollars a month with all my websites ;) It's realistic. I can't be disapointed because i come closer and closer every day:) When you will start to succeed, you will start working even more and more till you reach your goals :) The key is to go on and go on on the right path :)
