ice pop
Ive recently discoveed an entertainment website called www.icepop.com. They have obviously put a lot of hard work into this website. The stories and events change daily., and im wondering, do you think they would have to work on the site daily, since the stories change all the time. An idea like this has a lot of potential, but im curious how a website like this works. Do you think they have a large team, or do the stories get automated like banner ads? Thankyou for any help guys.

I checked this out very entertaining and very much
work involved I am sure - whoever set this site up
does #1 not have a secure site it you noticed and
would guess that they spend quite a bit of time working
on it :)

Not at all - you are capable of doing the same -
just remember what you are getting into work
wise and having the time to spend doing it but
if this is something that you would enjoy more
that find work - go for it - I think the site is great
It is going to take some time to build but hey
this is what being in WA is about learning and
enjoying what we do :)

They have sneakily placed ads in the stories themselves, instead of placing banners everywhere, Very clever. I think for now, I will follow Kyles advice and keep it simple.

I ended up choosing hydroponic gardening. I thought it had lots of promise. Its already specialiised and narrowed down to a specific type of gardening. There would be bucket loads of potential for content ideas, equipment, methods, grow media, lighting, ventilation, grow room, troubleshooting, where to grow,,you get the idea. After my first blog post which was an introduction, I hit a big wall.A lot of information in books, on the net, is mixed and varied. It dosent make our job as bloggers any easier. I want to make a website better than all the others, but its harder than I thought susan.

I started with the CBD oils thinking that would be easy as well
Boy, was I wrong - I scraped the whole thing and went with
dogs I know more about them and have so much more experience with them.
Second, I then went with promoting WA - how hard is this one LOL
You have selected a good niche and I think you should go with all the things you know recommend what you know works :)

hi again Susan.Okay, after visiting a couple of websites on cbd oils, ive come to the conclusion you made the right choice. Wowsers. To say that cbd oils is quite involved would be an understatement

I wonder how they are monetizing it. It’s not blatantly obvious with ads or affiliate links. It’s an interesting example of a no niche website, quite the mish mash of eclectic stories/headlines
there are ads up top, and imbedded in some of the stories. Thees an ad for a drone, some T shirts, but your right, they haven't drowned the website with banner ads, which I like a lot. There was another website I viewed, that had pop up ads come up over the story I was reading. That is annoying, and I closed it down, not very appealing
