I hit 500 words this week
hello everybody at Wealthy Affiliate. My week has been interesting. , my usual routine is, come home from work, have a shower, relax a bit, see whats on television. I have a show that i like, its on every night. without fail. I dont know what it was, but the next night, i had my shower, didnt turn on the T.V, went over to my computer, and looked up my content. (Advantages and Disadvantages of Hydroponic Gardening Techniques.) Yes, i realise its a long tail keyword, thats another story.. I read the book i had in front of me, whilre looking up some more research on line to blend the content. To my surprise, i just started writing. It was a little bit each night, say 100 words or so, I know its not 1000 words, but its 500 words less that i have to worry about come Saturday. I know its not a huge achievement guys, but i feel good that i have made some progress. I just wanted to share with you, and just wanted to say, whether its 1 word or 1000 words, it all counts.

Hi Doug, absolutely right every word counts. Glad you got up to the 500 mark. I use Rank Math, and they indicate that 600 should be the minimum for the best ranking. Pretty sure you can come up with a 100 more words for better ranking.

Hi Doug, I am going by what Rank Math is stating. I know the more words the better. Maybe Yoast and the AIO seo have different numbers.

Well done Doug...this is how it starts! Sometimes I find it really difficult to get going - there's always something that needs doing - so I make myself sit down to write on the understanding that I will carry on for half hour then do whatever else needs doing. Once I start writing / working I can usually carry on for 2-3 hours without even realising it. If you take that first step the rest will follow, whether it's 10 words or 500.

Well done!! You're right, it doesn't matter how slow your writing speed is. As long as you do a little each day that's the main thing. I also have a few favourite programs I watch each evening. They're soaps and it's about the only TV I watch. I'm still quite slow at writing, but manage about 2-3 1500 word posts a week. It all depends on the time you have available. You're doing great! :)

thanks heaps Derek. One member stated once. Just get your content out there. It will never be perfect. You can always work on that later once its ranked.
