Yup, that's kinda what I'm realizing... Divi is a heavily loaded theme indeed! But I sure do enjoy it!!!
Fixing these issues are way tooooo diverse to make a trainer, It would take a Chilton manual to overhaul a website and would be too complex to understand, Lanu.
I do not have the time for the creation of major muti-tiered training for free. I have to make a living.
Yup, Chris did great Rosie. Last week I was talking to a guy that was supposedly a developer and sounded like he had a great grasp on my problems... he totally broke both my sliders and only got me up to 70/100. We're really blessed to have guys like 'ol TB here that know what they're doing... really blessed...(-;
You are most welcome, Rosie. If I had not been reading Randy's mail, I would not have known this was here. lol
Glad you saw this...I was hoping others would wonder and check you out....you a really special...:)
It was such an honor working with you Randy. You and your wife have delightful accents. I wish I had an accent.
Too funny with accent thing there TB. My wife just loves listening to you talk. I think she wishes my site would break or slow down all the time so she could just sit there and listen to you talk...LOL!
Naw... I sure do appreciate all the time you spent getting this thing off to the races. Kinda like someone bleached down the tires and hit the nitro bottle...(-;
Thank ya' again partner!!!

I would love to give a couple of hours to do that, Christian. The problem is, it is tooooo diverse to make a single training or even a couple of trainers. Everybody has different issues. I would not mind doing a series of webinars, but I cannot afford the time to do it for free.
WebMastery IS my Niche. This is how I make my living.

I changed
I have not seen this before Randy but here are a couple things you could try.
Delete all the unused themes and only keep Mantra. Especially the Weaver Extreme theme since that seems to be where your trouble started.
I like Weaver Extreme and use it myself on one site. It does have a LOT of settings though and something might have caused a conflict with plugins and gotten stuck.
If you can pin it down to only a couple possible plugin conflicts, delete, not just deactivate, those plugins - one at a time - so all the data gets deleted too. Maybe that will identify the culprit.
You aren't using JetPack are you? If so, you should delete it. It doesn't play nice with WA servers.
If all else fails, do what Timea suggested and contact support. They are pretty good at spotting problems.
Hang in there - the solution will be found!
Tom
Thank ya' Tom, I didn't think about actually deleting the plugins and themes. I'll definitely give that a shot.
I dumped Jetpack a few years ago after some news came out about it slowing down site loading speeds.
Great suggestions... sure do thank ya'!!!
Randy
Ey there Tom,
Just wanted to thank ya' again. Deleted the themes and plugins like you said and...
BINGO...
issues all resolved and working just perfectly!
Sure appreciate your help...
Randy
Oh! Are you serious? In this case you definitely need WA help. If they working on it for days than it must be big! Send them a reminder. Maybe they fofgot... We are only Humans .. :)
I finally got things to work, Timea. I deleted all of my plugins, switched to some theme I'd never heard of and then deleted all of my themes. Then I reloaded the Mantra theme and all of the plugins and all is good! Kinda crazy, huh...!!!
Quite a few folks would say so. When you back up your files it's extra data that you really don't need to burden your memory with. Personally, I just don't like stuff laying around that I'm not using and usually keep files and plugins that I don't regularly use, deleted. I do still have a ton of theme downloads on my PC and laptop but they are just sitting in my computer's "Downloads".
It would be kinda interesting to see what everyone else thinks, ey?
Hey Double Tap (I like that handle - actually was taught 3 taps. Two in the chest one in the head just to make sure the target's dead.) Anyway ...
I left you a message about your problem. It may or may not be what I think but like I said I did the same thing and afterward things just didn't work right. Hopefully you saved your whole site before you cleared cache'?
Ey there Paul... thank ya'! Yah, when qualifying I think it's always like you say, two and one. I played a ton of FPS's before finding WA and I always used the double tap...LOL!!!
I'll go check my messages real quick... yuppers, definitely saved the site before clearing the site cache.
Thank ya' again... hopin' all is well with ya',
Randy
It sounds like it could be two plugins that don't play nicely together. Do you have more than one plugin trying to do the same job (e.g. sitemaps)?
Ya' know, I don't think so Marion. Weird though, I can deactivate all of them and just active one plugin randomly and it'll cause the white page issue. Sometimes I'll start at the bottom of the plugins and activate one or two and it won't affect it for two or three comments and then... whammmo
Just can't figure this one out kiddo!!! Thanks for asking... sure appreciate it!
Sorry....well really not sorry to Not Had this, but sorry you are...don't know how to fix it. But you know someone here will. I will wait with you do we can both learn.

Ya' know I coulda sworn that I just saw a post on this within the last week or two but after searching for about 10 minutes I can't seem to find hide or hair of that silly thing
Just a quick update... the pTypeConverter plugin recommended by Ade worked extremely easily! It brought all of my comments over and placed the page into the posts in the proper chronological order without a hitch! So again, my thanks to Ade (Funmine) Andy, Terea and everyone that gave me a hand on this one.... pTypeConverter plugin, excellent plugin!
Ade and I are full friends now! Anyone that helps out my friend, gets to be my friend too. He is a great person and I am so happy to hear he solved your problem. I did a little happy dance for you!
I agree with ya' Terea... glad I'm following Ade. This plugin is really sweet... so easy to use and so doggone effective! I'm going to check out the one that Andy mentioned when I get a chance too. It'd be nice to have two of them that are dependable. I'm enjoying Ade's posts too. Thanks again for everything Terea, including that nice little ditty of a dance ya' did for me. Hopin' your Sunday is awesome!
Hi DoubleTap,
Glad you asked this since it's something I was thinking about too. I see you've got some good advice here already. Hope it all goes well for you. :)
Thank ya' Sherry... unfortunately for me, it never, ever goes smooth with something like this! Guess there's always a first! (-;
The pTypeConverter plugin enables you to easily convert your existing posts to pages and vice versa.
I used it recently to convert posts to pages and it worked fine. It also left my comments intact.
Hope it helps.
Ade
Thanks Ade! I had been thinking of this lately and didn't know how to go about it. I didn't realize there was a plugin for it. :)
Well thank ya', Ade. Absolutely sounds perfect... I'll be checking this one out very shortly. I may be sending ya' a PM if I get stuck in some mud... if ya' don't mind! Thanks again!
No, at least not that I know of. You can add some code to your site or install a plugin that redirect to a new page/post, but comments are gone after that.
Why do you want to do this? Maybe we can think of an alternative solution.
BTW I'm all moved into the new place now. It's like 2am and I'm painting my new office!
Hey there Nathaniell... how funny is this? I was reading on one of your sites when I started thinking about tightening up my WA site, maybe getting rid of static pages in my menu and converting them to posts. Kinda had the urge to clean things up a little.
So, you're moved in already, how cool is that? Next time I'm up there visiting family I'll definitely have to swing by and say howdy. (I'll call first and make sure you've got time in the schedule before I plan the trip). Dang dude, I sure do envy you! It'd be nice to have the four seasons back again. You're gonna have to hit the delta for some good fishin'. About 10 miles west of the 5 on hwy4 there's some excellent fishing to be had. Anyway, I'm salivating... gotta pull the tongue back in. Hopin' your weekend is awesome up there. Thank ya' much Nathaniell!
This was back in 2011, although I do not think things have changed enough to be able to do this, there is a possibility - so hold out for a better answer Randy!

Posts and pages are very different and there is no way to move content automatically from post to a page. It's a manual copy and paste job.
This is more info, but I do not think it applies much:

WordPress.com blogs can be left in their conventional posted based structure or they can be restructured to become page based websites. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/12/better-blogging-at-wordpress-com-pages-and-posts/
Staff have provided help for those who want to structure their blog like a website. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. But we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
We organize our posts by assigning Categories to them. When we publish a post it automatically appears on the running page for posts and also on the Categories pages and Archives pages. Note: There must be one published post in each Category in order for there to be anything to display.
A custom menu allows you to display Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages and custom links in your custom menu as well.
These are the how-to instructions:

Wow Terea, talk about full service! Thank you for pulling all of this up! I'm going to have to rethink it all. Not sure if it's worth losing the comments if something goes wrong. Just had another thought about how to rearrange my posts and pages. Hmmm, just not sure but I am totally curious about the plugins mentioned above. Probably should sleep on all of this and make sure I have a clear mind before flipping any switches! (-;
Thanks again Terea!
Be sure and back up all your information before you do anything. I use UpdraftPlus for Backup/Restore. It is such an easy plugin to use, so friendly I managed it!
Hey there Terea, thank you for the info on UpdraftPlus. I've been using BackWPup and constantly have problems with it. The only time it ever worked like it should was over a year ago the very first time I installed it. Then it only worked right for around 4 or 5 months. I'll definitely be checking out your suggestion... already have it downloaded and ready to upload to site... thankin' ya'!!!
That is the exact reason I changed from BackWPup, plus it has a restore button. Let me know if I can help! To give credit where credit is due CoolCity (Gary) turned me on to this plugin!
Problems Terea... I'm getting a message when I set up UpdraftPlus... "Warning: The scheduler is disabled in your WordPress install, via the DISABLE_WP_CRON setting" Looks like I need to get into the files and see if I can find this little bugger. My site is hosted here so I reckon I've gotta see if I can figure out a way to get into the files... probably FileZilla or something. Never goes smooth for me!!! )-:
OOPS!!! Think I'm going to shut this thing off and get some sleep. The brain is refusing to cooperate!!! Thank ya' Terea... the saga shall continue tomorrow! Sweet dreams!!!
I should, but I found such a cool place to learn HTML and CSS that I can't seem to quit ~ one more lesson, then I will join the land of the sleeping! Chat with ya tomorrow!
Hey there Terea, finally had a chance to get back on and check things out. Deleted BackWPup and reinstalled UpDraftPlus... still giving me that warning. Oh well... having problems with my home network too so I gotta shut everything down and play with the network for a while and see where the hickup is... thanks again for everything, Terea!!!
I don't have a definitive answer, others might. Effectively if you are talking about moving a page/post and comments you are trying to manipulate aspects of the underlying database...
this is one pug in that emerged from a discussion thread:http://wordpress.org/plugins/tako-movable-comments/
it is the most up to date (for newer versions of WP) that I can see.
This was the thread I took it from.
I look forward to seeing others' no doubt better informed opinions! Andy

Just a quick question for the community here at W.A... How many of you have business cards for your site that promotes Wealthy Affiliate? I've been thinking about creating one a
I have just received my business cards I had made up for my site.
I think it is a great idea, especially for networking event such as seminars. They look pretty cool too!!
Thanks John, think I'll go ahead and design some when I get a little spare time. Just gotta come up with the right look, ya' know?
Did the same as TravelHacker. Have an account with Vistaprint. Ordered another box for my Online Teaching (had to update new address). Use a local print shop for me and my local clients when I set them up online as a Google business. Use Apple App for graphics and business card layouts then send pdf to print shop.
Hope this helps. ^_~
Yup, actually does give me a few good ideas... there are a few shops around with some great prices. I never thought about the Apple App, I'll have to check that out, too! Thank you for your thoughts!
You are always welcome, love.
Seems this time of year the Big Five camping gear is on sale, next month tackle. Hear that jet stream is coming in. Miss Norcal. Good to see your profile with man's best friend. ^_~
Too funny Caylynn, I was just down there yesterday getting some shoes that I always take on our Eastern Sierra trip and just checking out ammo and other camping stuff.
That big 'ol girl in that picture is laying down in front of the fireplace right now totally drenched. Doesn't matter if it's summer or winter, she just has to go swimming. In a few days when we're supposedly getting between 3 and 4 inches of water, she'll still be wanting to get her laps in! Hoping she's done for the night, takes a while for the rugs to dry out.)-:
Personally, I'm missin' the Central Valley... the hay trucks, the dairies, the canneries, the fishing, the Pro Circuit Rodeos... the list just goes on! Whole different lifestyle up there.
Question to ask yourself is how many people are you likely to be giving a business card to - and whether at the current time that's really a priority. :) Beverley
Ahhh Beverley.... you always get me back into seein' things with the proper perspective. Probably wouldn't use too many right now and yah, you're right, I've got tons of content waiting to be written. As always... right on target, Beverley! Thank you much!!!
I just ordered mine a couple weeks ago and waiting for them to arrive. It has my website info - the one that's promoting WA... My site www.financiallyfreestudents.com is geared towards college students so my business cards reflect that... I used the free cards from vistaprint. It was a total of 3.99 for shipping.
(Minor point - the back of the cards say www.vistaprint.com as their promotion... you have the option of taking it off for $1.99. I chose NOT to as my intended audience of students could benefit from business cards such as these and leaving vistaprint on it will get teh idea in their heads...)
Great information, Stephanie! I remember someone mentioning Vistaprint before. I may have to look into them after I figure out a minimal bit of graphic to put on them. Thank ya' for the help!
Vistaprint.com! Pretty sure you can get some in the free promotion they do. Costs just a little extra for the upgrades... just one option
I would/will be getting cards for sure, and I think its a great idea.
Thank ya' for the confirmation Greg. I've been thinking about this minimally for a while but last night couldn't sleep and this kept playing in my head. Guess I just need to put it all down on paper and dial it in! Thanks again Greg... glad you're here in our community!
All depends on what type of marketing you do. I personally would not get any use out of business cards. I have boxes and boxes of them, they go out of date before I can use them all. I'm rarely in situations where I can use them.
Yah, I still have some old ones sitting around, too, Wayne. Seems like I've been telling quite a few people about my sites and WA a bit lately and was thinking it would be great to have a business card with my info on it. Guess it's not a real high priority right now.... tons of content to be written awaits me! )-:
Thank ya' Wayne!!!
Hey don't let me stop you, I just don't have a need for them because I do most of my marketing online or digtially. Even for my photo business, sometimes I'll be out and about and people will say do you have a card and I say no, do you have an email? I pull out my phone and I email them directly so they have my contact info in their inbox. Way better than a card if you ask me.
Wayne - you make a good point. My thought with this has been networking with some MLM people I know. They seem to travel in packs and do a great deal of business face to face. If I have cards to distribute to an existing network I should be able to get some people signed up.ye olde fashioned way. Also, as I live in a metro area, there are gobs of networking groups meeting year round. Lots of those people are looking.for opportunities and I would encourage anyone to attend these.events.
Yah, you've got some great points there Wayne... reminds me of what I should be doing a little more often!
I've been a part of local networking groups that meet every week. My personal experience with these is every is going there to sell not buy. So my strategy with these groups is to collect business cards and say thank you, I don't see myself needing your services but I know a lot of people that may need your services, let me see if I can make a personal introduction for you. Who would be a good referral for you? How can I help you build your business? If you go with the mentality of giving and serving them you may just find you get more business from this than a business card.
I agree Wayne. Most people are there to attempt to find customers and it becomes an exercise in frustration. What I do know works is offering something , giving of some of the knowledge you have. I usually attend groups of no less than 300 people, and I know many of those people are looking for a job, or some additional ways they can make more income. Cards, or at least one with a QR code that can be scanned become useful. I agree that the approach should be asking how to help the other person's business and that's just good sales etiquette anyway. I get a lot from the cards because I always do an exchange and follow-up with people. I find that only about 5% of people every follow-up, even if it is something of interest.
We aren't selling insurance - we have something to offer people to better themselves. The last event I attended there were over 600 people, and cards are of importance to at least remember who was who. I think it comes down to a personal preference as to whether you network with or without a card, and who you are networking with.
@Zentrader, True, True!
Speaking of business cards, one time as a business mixer I had a guy walk by and toss his insurance business card over my shoulder having it land in front of me and he kept on walking. I was floored! I turned to my wife and said REALLY! That's what he calls networking?

Business Cards to Promote WA/Reviews Site
It was a total of 3.99 for shipping.

make it a training
Not a bad idea my friend... Happy Thanksgiving partner!
I'd sign up for that rodeo!!!
Thank you, Randy.
