Whoever said real men don't cry is full of bull crap!

Last Update: April 20, 2020

I was reading something on Google today and it mentioned that real men don't cry. I'm here to tell you that I am a real man, 63 years old, and I found myself crying my eyes out today and I'm not ashamed to admit that and please note that this is not the first time.

Let me fill you in on the past 12 months of my life. I have had to recover from being stuck in bed after falling and shattering my tibia and my fibula in my left leg. A year prior I was doing the same thing as I shattered my tibia and my fibula in my right leg. I was in the hospital for at least seven of the last 12 months with heart attacks. I got out of hospital about a month ago after a major heart attack which caused me to have a blood transfusion. I went weeks at a time not knowing who I was, where I was, the date and many other things that people take for granted.

I found out that a really good friend of mine here in Wealthy Affiliate has been really sick and ended up with a severe stroke which the doctors didn't know if she would survive. Seeing as of been in the hospital so much I just find out today that one of my heroes died Kenny Rogers I allowed all this to build up and then started to cry. It was one of those chest throbbing cries. This went on for about 30 minutes and it felt good.

Because we have bad things happen in our life, our life will go on. All you have to do is turn on the TV and you will see all the people protesting instead of taking the bull by the horns and turning a negative thing into something positive. We should be thankful that now we have been given time to work on our business.

I love Wealthy Affiliate, I have met many people here that I am proud to call friends. I lost touch with a couple of very close friends, one who is currently making good money from one of her websites. She has not been with Wealthy Affiliate that much longer than myself. She is absolute proof that it works. I remember back to when I joined Wealthy Affiliate she was writing 2 to 3 articles daily sometimes more and now it has paid off for her. I feel like I am rambling now so it must be time to add some articles on my websites. Let's all take advantage while we can and turn the coronavirus into a period of positivity.

Hi Donnie, gosh you’ve been through a lot. Glad you’re back 😊

As a mum to boys, I’ve always hated the phrase ‘boys don’t cry’. It’s dangerous bull^*%# that harms boys, leads to stifled emotions and ultimately wellbeing issues. Whenever I hear it I have no choice but to call it out.

Cheers

Hi Donnie, grown men do cry. Sometimes it could be a song that causes my eyes to start leaking.
I am sorry to hear about all the health issues that you have suffered, but I am glad you are on the mend, and posting here at WA. Donnie, if you ever feel you need someone to talk to I will be here to listen, just PM me. I too was saddened by the death of Kenny Rogers.
You got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them....

All the best,
Michael

You've had a lot placed upon your shoulders over a long period of time, and there's not a thing wrong with anyone crying.

I haven't had much interaction with you on here, but I will say a prayer for you for healing both physically and emotionally.

May your future hold more blessings that pain. 🙏
