back from the dead (literally)

Last Update: October 22, 2019

Well here I am, literally back from the dead. Let me explain exactly what I mean by this.

On Sunday, October 13, and my day started off by vomiting lots and lots of blood. I then became extremely confused to the point that I couldn't tell you my name, what year it was, what month or who my wife was.

My wife forced me to go to the emergency room. The hospital is in Blairsville Georgia. But I was so sick that they transferred me to a major hospital in Chattanooga Tennessee. One of my diagnosis was MRSA in the blood which can most definitely be fatal. My other diagnosis was some kind of encephalopathy which is a problem the brain. I was in the intensive care unit in the beginning but thankfully after four days I was transferred to a step down unit. I'm so confused that I was convinced that my wife had gotten cancer and died. I was in hospital a total of nine days.

I came home with a PICC line in my arm and will have to have IV antibiotics twice a day for eight weeks. This was a really scary situation. My wife was convinced that I would not recover and would end up dying in the hospital.

I am not a religious person and I'm not sure what I believe in but I prayed several times because I did not want to die. I am not 100% recovered but I am recovered enough to attempt some work on one of my websites. I just want to say I love you guys.

Oh my goodness! I am so glad you are ok. That is really scary stuff. MRSA is bad and swelling of the brain sounds horrible.

Stay healthy. I hope you recover fully and quickly.
