Made the mistake up upgrading to Gutenberg. If you want to add hours to every post - and I mean HOURS - go for it. You have to re-learn every single aspect of posting even the simplest entry. My ads didn't work at all for a while. It takes a lot more clicks to place a simple paragraph, and every single paragraph, picture, heading, is it's own "block" whether you want it to be or not. Stupid.I used to run a Varitype typesetter, and this software is utter garbage compared to that - and that

When you're just starting your blog, it's really easy to get discouraged. You think that everyone knows more, everyone has more skills, everyone has a better niche, a better URL, everyone is further along in the process . . . blah blah. But I'm tellin' ya, all you really need to do is FOCUS ON YOUR CONTENT. Produce good quality content, from beginning to end, following the instructions on the foundational lessons, and you'll be 85% further along than most of what I see out there.Seriously, h

When was the last time you went back through all your posts to make sure they're still current and in good working order? That's what I've been working on for the past few days. It's tiring, but well-worth the effort.Things change in internet-land all the time. I'm an Amazon affiliate, and they're constantly updating the types of ad styles they offer, especially for the huge increase in mobile computing. I just switched my theme to Hueman - I felt it was time for a good overhaul, and this h

Just got an email from Facebook today about an update to their Pixel:Important Facebook Pixel UpdateHi Don,On October 24, Facebook will begin offering businesses a first-party cookie option with the Facebook pixel. This change is in line with updates made by other online platforms, as use of first-party cookies for ads and site analytics is becoming the preferred approach by some browsers.Businesses have long relied on cookies to serve ads to relevant audiences and understand visits to their si

I found a new tool that may be useful to you, if you do a lot of screen capture. In Windows 10, manipulating photos has become a gigantic pain in the ass. It has decided you are far too stupid to know where your pictures are, and how you want to arrange them, so it constantly searches your entire computer and gathers all the pics under its own file structure, which is hidden from you. So you have no idea if the picture your clicking on is one from your backup drive, your C:Pictures folder, or

I've been lucky over the past years with my website functioning as it should. No big problems . . . up until two weeks ago, when my Google Webmaster started showing my clicks and impressions dropping to ZERO from an average of 40 clicks and 500 impressions/day. EEK! What did I do? In a panic, I started researching everything on Google webmaster and found a number of 404s and blocked resources. Of course, I immediately decided THAT was the problem and worked on fixing them. I looked up inf

Just some background . . . I've been a WA member since July of 2014. I had just retired and was looking to monetize my hobby of baking. I followed the lessons carefully, read all the material, set up my website (www.bakingnaturally.org), and set about writing articles. One problem I was up against at the beginning was the fact that Colorado didn't allow Amazon affiliation because of a sales tax collection dispute. So I became an affiliate with Rakuten and eBay. I also explored some other opt

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been active on WA. I picked up a couple of contracts with my old work, traveled to Mexico for a few months and was generally lazy. But recently, Colorado changed their laws to allow residents to become Amazon vendors, so I have jumped back into my website. Over the past few days I've tested three recipes and posted them online. I also have been revamping all of my advertising, focusing solely on Amazon stock. On my first day, I've seen 11 Amazo

Yay! Sold 3 items through my Baking Naturally site this past month using eBay Enterprise Affiliates! And one last month, too. Seeing about 50 sessions a day. Things are finally popping. I thought I would have to wait until Colorado got its Amazon Law figured out (which seems to be coming along, slowly). But glad to be seeing some success with the alternative.Started another supplemental web site, Eating Naturally. On this one I focus on Share-a-Sale programs where I review popular diet pr
