Hey Don,

I'm curious as to what WA uses to establish ranking.
Hi - it is based on your level of activity within the community. This includes asking and answering questions, writing blog posts, creating training, welcoming new members, participating in Live Chat, offering comments and feedback etc.
It is nothing to do with your website, and there are no perks, bonuses or anything of monetary value to be gained with having a higher ranking.
WA rank is based on as many say your activity in the WA community. However, do not confuse your WA rank with how well you are doing with your website. The two are not related.
Ranking high here does not guarantee success online. You can earn money in WA by creating training and commenting etc. But WA is not your online business.
Good information, I was wondering myself and for sure about the Blog's. I wasn't sure when I could actually start sending Blog's and was more concerned about my training.
Since the question came up thow when should I start thinking about Blog's?
Yes that was from purchasing a .com website and from being indexed by Google and was recommend that I send one out. I just didn't want to jump ahead of other things I should be doing.
Thanks

Do you still feel the same way? I've been reading that they are important. What's your opinion now?
Hey Don,
If you are referring to Kyle's post here: Are Backlinks Good for Rankings? Nope. then his opinion does not appear to have been updated.
When done incorrectly, backlinking can do a website more harm than good.
Obtaining the links that Kyle shows you how to (example: creating your social media accounts) are your website's best benefits.
A new site is not so likely to have a LOT of backlinks unless you have one very viral topic on your website.
Hope you find this helpful.

Back in 2018 you wrote an article where you said to forget backlinks?

Some time ago I bought a domain from Godaddy & pointed the name servers to WA. Godaddy shows them pointed here but the website "seniorlifestyletoday.com" doesn't show up he
Hi Don; go here.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains
Scroll down to the bottom of this page, if you have pointed that domain name to the WA servers it should be here.
To create a website go here,
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/build
Select on domain I own.
Select the domain from dropdown.
You should be good to go.
Hi Don you will need the transfer verification code from go Daddy
This training may be useful; Transfer Domain Name from GoDaddy to Wealthy Affiliate SiteDomains If you go to Godaddy, this tutorial may be useful as well.
Tap on the little circle with the?
enter;
Get an authorization code to transfer my domain away from GoDaddy
it will give you a step by step.
You can ask Godaddy if they transferred your site already and how they did it. Your site is not on the internet anymore, so I think something went wrong. You can also ask site support if they saw this site coming through.
Maybe this will help: WA Hosting - Setting Up Your Domain DNS Alternatively you will need to ask godaddy for it.

I still can't figure out how the Site Comment works. I've made 5 comments but it says I have made none. I need a step by step guide on it. I thought a comment was a comment but
Hi - Here is a tutorial on site comments I found. Hope it helps: A Guide on How to use the site comments platform on WA Good luck, Shannon
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for the reply. I think I may have figured out my problem. I'm a member of Gravatar and used my overall gmail address. When I did a comment I used my WA address. I have added that address so should be OK now.
Hi Sharon,
I think i have it figured out. I have a gravatar account with a different address than I was using in Site Comment. I have added that one so it should be OK now. Thanks for your help.

Hi - two things you need to consider.
First of all, do you have a Gravatar account? You need one to be able to leave comments.
And secondly, once you have a Gravatar, you need to leave your comments in the box provided, not directly on the website.
Hi Diane,
Thanks for replying. I have a Gravatar account but maybe not set up right. I went to google to find out about setting the Gravatar up and they want me to go to Wordpress.com. When I go to WP.com they want me to switch my DNS over to them. I use WP.org and don't want to switch. Can you explain more about Gravatar? I'm kind of confused as I thought I was good to go as a member of Gravatar but guess not. I did leave the comments in the box but I guess I had no Gravatar. Help!
Hi - take a look at this training, to see if it helps. If you have correctly connected your Gravatar account, then when you go to Site Comments, it should automatically add your email address in the top line of the box. How to Create a Gravatar Account
