Love Your Valentine - Make Black Bean Brownies!
I'm posting this recipe by special request, lol. But I also want to say that this is a great way to give the one(s) you love a special treat for valentine's that is a lot healthier than anything that comes in a box or, for that matter, most homemade goodies.
Black beans are full of soluble and insoluble fiber(I know, you really don't care, right?) and they also have some protein in them.
I made these the other night because I've been curious since I saw Haley Duff make a black bean cake on her cooking show. I found this recipe on Pinterest.
I added a scoop of protein powder to mine, but I need to work on that because they came out a little dry.
Best to go by the recipe the first time, right?
Anyway, here's the link:

ENJOY and,
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Me too Dick. I add fennel seed to mine too. Makes them taste like they have sausage in them without all the nitrates and fats, lol.
Well, as Bobtosh says - we want to "live long and prosper". I need all the help I can get at my age, lol.

Thanks Debby, me too I love those black beans, use them in a number of recipes, bonus is my dog loves them as well, regards, Sylvie :)
Well, my cats won't touch them, lol. But then again, they won't touch much of anything we eat. Cats are so persnickity! Do you make some type of dog biscuits with the beans or just feed the beans to the dog?
Most of the time the beans are mixed with rice or pasta, his favourite cookie is peanut butter, needless to say he eats well LOL
Those crazy cats need to go to eating schools!
Sounds like it!
