What You Think About

Last Update: January 08, 2020

Thoughts...

A lesson that I and others often need to remind ourselves is the impact of our thoughts on our actions. There are too many great quotes on this subject, but I recall one from ancient times.

Marcus Aurelius was Roman emperor from 161 to 180 said in his writings Meditations: “Our life is what our thoughts make it.”

A modern version is this: "What you think about you bring about. Your whole life is a manifestation of the thoughts that go on in your head." This quote from Rhonda Byrne's popular book. The Secret.

We Hear

I've heard similar quotes over the ears and often wondered if this was so. Our goals are what we wish to bring about and writing them out is the first step to achieving them. I've found out that as I get lost in the details of pursuing those goals, I lose touch with the bigger picture for a time.

So, I have ...

I Read over my goals several times a day. I have more detailed goals than I post here, some may seem odd to others, but they are exactly what I need. I find this brings back focus, so necessary for bringing about progress to those goals. As I achieve these smaller goals, I add more.

These are where my thoughts have wandered today.

OEC Training Update

I have begun a series of 8 posts. These are in their infant stages, but my goal here is to finish all of them by mid-February. I should also finish level 2 of OEC at the same time. These will remain unpublished until I have the I's dotted and the T's crossed and I'm getting better at the details. One posted, I'll as for comments.

Stay Tuned,

Dave M

Thanks for sharing this,
Our thoughts are powerful and we need to be careful of what we are thinking about.
Worry will not add anything worthwhile to the situation.
Keep up the great work.
Darren :)

Jesus made the same points. I won't try to quote Him, because I don't know the exact scripture, but you are so right!
