Reality Check
I visited a dear friend in the hospital yesterday. Last year she was a vital, lively person. Then a true mystery disease struck. It is a blood disorder, a very rare blood disorder.
She and her hubby now faces a long, expensive road to recovery. And even so, it may not eliminate the disease. The medical bills will be in the millions for medicine, and plenty more for the months she is in the hospital.
For me, this is a reality check, or a wake-up call. A reminder to live each day to the fullest. Tomorrow may bring unwanted twists and turns.

Praying for your friend's recovery.
I just want to share my experience why I came to realize that good health is not gauged by physical appearance.
My son is a bubbly and seemingly healthy teenager. So imagine my shock when he had a mild stroke at the age of 19 and the doctor diagnosed him with hypertension...at such an early age!
This is really a wake up call for us to be vigilant with the foods we put into our bodies and to have healthy lifestyle. :-)
You are so right. We don't know what the next hour will bring, much less the next day. Live in the moment!

It's true we must not live in fear of tomorrow, but we must know how to take advantage of the present.
