Every Day in Every Way
Mantra
For years one of my personal Mantra's has been: Every Day in Every Way I'm Getting Better and Better.
According to Wikipedia, at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89mile_Cou%C3%A9,
Émile Coué de la Châtaigneraie was a French psychologist and pharmacist who introduced a popular method of psychotherapy and self-improvement based on optimistic autosuggestion.
Ask Why
Some believe that affirmations are lifesavers and others believe they do nothing. Over the years, I have experimented with affirmations and have added the question "WHY" to many of them.
As a hypnotist, I understand that the subconscious mind is a workhorse and will tirelessly look for answers to why questions. Instead of stating Every Day in Every Way I'm getting Better and Better, I ask Why is it that Every Day in Every Way I'm getting Better and Better.
Then I release that thought and continue with my day. It works for me.

Hi Dave, interesting post. My thoughts are that every day is a brand new opportunity to be better. It is up to me to take advantage of that opportunity or waste it... See now you got me thinking...

I believe in Affirmations I found my peace and balance through them but like you have said you have to have a Why in between.
Affirmations and gratitude is my daily practice and it works.
Great article
I'm a strong believer in affirmations. If you put forth the command to your subconscious mind, it will work to achieve whatever it is you are looking for, positive or negative. It's not biased.
Cheers,
Michael
Dave, your usual great post! Oh, so true. There is no doubt that the subconscious mind is a powerful source and resource.

And the nice thing is that many others have spread that mantra, including Da Silva and his awesome team...
