Wehn you insert a link on a review or post can you not click on it and see if it works?

It looks like you have all the answers here but, to sum it all up with most affiliate programs you can click your own like to make sure it works.

In fact, Clickbank encourages you to click your own links to make sure they are working.

On the other hand, there are affialite programs that don't want you to, however, I can only assume there are programs that don't want you to but, all of this should be disclosed in your affiliate program rules.

I would say if you're allowed to check, check them. I joined a program under an affiliate here and he didn't get the sale becuase, his affiliate link didn't work. He didn't even know his affiliate wasn't working until I told him.

Needless, to say it took almost 24 hours to get it fixed. The lesson here is not all affiliate programs or customers are willing to go through the hassle of fixing an issue like that so, if you can click the link to verify that it works, I would.

I hope this helps.

hmm .. Let's see how it works::

{ Edit: Yes .. It Works }

not with in the post itself - you will need to go to preview.
watch out for some affiliate programs - they don't like you going through on your link, they think you are trying to fool the system.
good luck

I just wanted to see if it worked after I inserted it that was all I was trying to do.

i know - but you will need to get to trust what you are doing - or use another techniques to see.
if you hover over the link in preview you can see where it is going to take you at the bottom of your browser.
amazon has a link checker - where you copy the link in to check if it is good - they prefer you to use that rather than click on the link.
if you buy anything for 24 hours after clicking then you get the affiliate fees - so it is not just when you click through.
so anyone could try to fool the system.

There's no harm in clicking on your affiliate links.

Yes but shouldn't open up and show you what you linked to.

Yes. If it's not taking you to the desired destination then you haven't placed it correctly. I'm not sure if it's a WA link you're having trouble with or just another link that's not working for you, so here are a couple of tutorials that should help you out.

Thanks a lot for all the help much appreciated.

What lessons do i go to so i can recap how to add drop down widows to my website?

Look up "enhancing your website experience" in the search bar above by Kyle, it will go over that.

wondering this myself. May be geting ahead of the game. I'm sure training will walk us through it in time. Linda

go to the training section and search drop down windows or go to the live events section and search

i accidentally made a duplicate of one of my post and now i can't edit the other one after deleting the duplicate, what am i doing wrong?

Hi - are you trying to edit it in Site Content? Once it has been published, you can only edit through Word Press.

Good to know! I had that happen to me and the content just kept duplicating itself when I tried to remove it. I wound up changing themes so I didn't appear to have 8 of the same post lol

Thank you very much that was a big help cause i didn't know that.
