What Should I do Next & My Current Progress

My website www.thebestorganicskincare.com is doing alright. I have almost 200 visitors a day and I am making about 4 sales/ month. I have 400 clicks/ month. So far I have made $300 off this site.

I am wondering what the best way is to reinvest this money. I am thinking of maybe getting Aweber, or else paying for some written content.

I also need to tweak my website, increase conversions and get more traffic.

I am ranking on page 1 for a few keywords. I am ranked for: argan oil vs jojoba oil for acne, marula oil vs argan oil, and what is the best makeup for oily skin. I am wondering if I should write more articles targeting variations of these keywords. Maybe.... argan oil vs jojoba oil for hair, or what is the best makeup for dry skin.

I feel like I should be making a better income by now. I often wonder if this niche just isn't targeted enough.

I know this is a slow process and I know that everything takes time, so I am not worried, I just want to know what the best next steps to take are.

Anyways, if you have any advice, please leave it below :)

Andrea

Googled your keyword and went through some of your content, maybe try adding a call to action at the end of your posts?

Example: "Click Here To Read The Reviews Over On Amazon!" This is what I do for my product reviews, and I make the text a bit bigger too like Header 2.

Then link it to the product page. The pictures of the product could also be affiliate links as well!

It's all a numbers game, you've proven that your site can produce numbers so now it's going to be all about increasing your clicks and your conversions.

Personally, I think you just need to do a little tweaking to get the conversions going more.

You need to make obvious ways for your visitors to get over to Amazon so that they can know for sure to get the best oils for acne, etc.

Hope this has helped?

Cheers Andrea,

Colton

Colton I love the way you have those images in your web site and your suggestion here is a very good one . Sometimes WA folks are fearful of affiliate links, but you don't have to be. When people visit sites and are ready to buy, they want to know what to do, as you know. Nice clickable images and things you mentioned above are right on target.

I would keep doing what you are doing ... rinse and repeat. Then take your earned revenue so far and any additional earnings accumulated by your anniversary date in October and go annual (if you are not already). That's a cost savings of about 36% versus monthly.

I would start a newsletter to collect email addresses while continuing to write new content for your website. You said that you want to increase conversions, so I recommend learning about copywriting. A free resource I use for developing copywriting skills is copyblogger.com

I will look into that :)

Hey Andrea, great progress. I would do a little reading up at the moment aweber v's getresponse before taking the plunge. Getresponse are having some real great reviews at the moment and some experts are saying that it is overtaking aweber for several advantages and upgrades.

oh nice, I see that get response is a bit cheaper too

Sounds like you are off to a great start!

Doing more reviews, creating more articles, and adding videos would be good. I would also look into starting a youtube channel. Writing an ebook to give away for free to promote a product is always good. If you created some ebooks to give away you could also use them to build your list etc.

You're site looks great, there are a few things I would tweek though. If you want my continued input just let me know.

All the best to you and yours. I look forward to connecting with you and working with you.

Regards,
Evan

Great stuff, why not review more products.

my reviews dont bring in much traffic, but yes, more reviews are always good

Dropped a comment for ya! :-)

thanks :)

Wow, great site and fantastic game plan thus far.

Okay, my personal opinion would be to check on traffic for other keywords related to your products. If there is solid traffic and low competition on a few other keywords, yes, create a page/post specifically for these new related keywords and get those pages ranked.

If not... it might be prudent to check related products and keyword traffic.

Also, one thing several don't think about and that is getting your site to link internally (link posts to posts and pages to pages, also posts to pages). Google loves this. And, many folks seem to only build backlinks to their home pages. Building backlinks to inner pages helps SEO greatly. You may know this already, but hopefully others that review this question may learn something new. :-)

Wow, I learnt something valuable even I just read your comment. Bravo. Thanks a lot ;)

Awesome! Thanks, Steve!
