The Same Amount of Work for Higher Commissions

I am wondering about starting a site with an affiliate company that offers higher priced items. It seems like a smart thing to do. It will take the same amount of work to promote a $20 item as a $250 item.

I just think about the amount of work I have put in to make $40 from affiliate sales. If those 3 sales were $100 commissions, I would be $300 richer.

I know this maybe sounds greedy, but man, I need to make an income....

I can't make $40 every 6 months and live off of that.

I wonder if I should promote WA, it seems that most of the successful people on here are those that promote WA.

Anyways, that is my late night rambling....

Goodnight everyone.

It actually depends on what affiliate products you are selling, but it does make sense that if it takes the same amount of work to promote the high-priced affiliate product, why not? :)

There is nothing wrong with desiring to make a better income! Just go for whatever is your interest and that you will enjoy writing content about and if that is WA then go for it!

Nothing wrong with wanting to make a decent income

I think that is good thing here in WA, that you can write about your favourite products, learn how to do it and earn substantial income. Money show how much people value your service. If it is good, they will pay well. Nothing wrong to earn real money, not just for ticket to show. Good luck!

I agree with Cathy. But I am also adding this: use products you actually believe in

Company's aren't in business to work long and hard but make little to no profit. And when we think of "companies", we think of large entities with no face and no feeling. Truth is that for every WalMart there is a Sam working their butts off to make things happen. Be like Sam. :-)

If you can write about internet marketing, scams etc then got for it!

I started bootcamp but just couldn't write about Internet marketing so chose a second niche. The products range in price and I can choose a different affiliate depending on the product, I always try and find higher commission one!

Will it? Would it also take more buyer trust to commit to a bigger $$$ spend? I notice that some use a model of an escalation of $ products. That is where I am heading. So the question for me now on reading this would be is my belief true. An I can think of examples where it's not true and people start with higher $$$ products. Thanks for the post.

Kudos dj.

It's not at all greedy, dj - it's good business sense, I think. As much as we all enjoy the process of creating our sites and joining in with the community here, the bottom line is that we're all here to make a steady income. Go for it.
