I love the School Sucks Podcast and I am a long time listener and supporter of the show. Recently Brett (the host) did a series on procrastination. I thought they were great and I wanted to share them here with all of you lovely people :) http://schoolsucksproject.com/podcast-330-stop-procrastinating-now-or-soon-part-1-the-abcs-of-worrying/ -Worrying is at the root of most procrastination -Brett's podcast performance anxiety -Can we transform worry into rational action? http://schoolsucksproj

Encouragement is awesome, hearing that what I am doing right is great, I do appreciate that but I find I get SO MUCH more out of someone telling me where I am going wrong. If someone points out what I am doing wrong, I can work to change it. If someone just says, "good job!", I feel good, but it doesn't lead me anywhere. I don't want people to nit-pick everything I do, trying to find every little thing I am doing wrong, but constructive criticism is really helpful. So when someone asks for your

Do any of you find that you get better support from people here than people in your life? I do. My husband is supportive, but he also has a strong aversion to advertising. Neither of us are big consumers, prefering a simple life. He doesn't really understand what I am doing. He doesn't drag me down or anything but he dosn't get excited when I start talking about a blog post I am working on. I feel like when I say, "just wait until I am making money online" he thinks, "I'll beleive it when I see

I started my website before coming to WA. I started out with the idea of just having a static site with affiliate links on it (because I read about it in a book and I was naive). I have learned that this just doesn't work. I looked into Affilorama and stumbled on someones website reviewing the company. This is how I found out about WA. Since coming to WA I have learned to target keywords so that I can get ranked in the search engines, and how to provide valuable content to my readers. It has he

I need to make this work I will not give up until it does If it takes me 5 years, so be it I work on my site as much as possible, i live and breathe it. I think about it constantly. Sometimes I get bogged down because I check my stats and they haven't gone up, or I check my affiliate account and haven't made any sales. Sometimes I have bad days, and some day's I feel great. All I know is that I am obsessed with making a living online. I have to make this work. I love WA, I log into my account e

Last month I made a couple sales on my site www.thebestorganicskincare.com Since then, I haven't made any sales. I am starting to wonder if it was just a fluke. I worry that my niche is too big. I worry that I am putting all this work into something that doesn't pay. Is organic skin care a lucrative market? I started this site before coming to WA, so it isn't created with WA training. I have implemented WA techniques and I have learned a lot here, and it has increased my traffic, but I still wo

It is so much faster to write a post for a product you have actually used! I contacted a company that I am an affiliate for and asked if they could send me some samples. They said yes and sent me full size products! Man I love being a blogger! You can check out my post here: http://thebestorganicskincare.com/thesis-beauty-oily-skin-review/ This was a quick post for me to write becasue I didnt have to do a bunch of research. I hope to get more free samples to review :)

I have been researching the use of images on my affiliate website. I was using images found on www.photopin and www.compfight.com on my websites, giving attribution. I only used images that had a creative commons license. I then had a friend tell me that I couldn't use creative commons images if my site was meaning to make money! So now I have to go through and check all my images. This is quite frustrating! I thought I would blog about it so that others don't make the same mistake :) Now I am

I am starting to get it, I am starting to understand how this all works - helping people - providing them with answers and information to the questions they are asking. I have even managed to make a couple of sales! There are still things I need to learn, things that I haven't fully grasped yet. I want to be more of a help to the people here on WA who need it, but I just don't have the answers to their questions yet. I am learning and growing every day. I spend a good amount of time every day o
