I love it when you tell me what I am doing wrong!
Encouragement is awesome, hearing that what I am doing right is great, I do appreciate that but I find I get SO MUCH more out of someone telling me where I am going wrong.
If someone points out what I am doing wrong, I can work to change it.
If someone just says, "good job!", I feel good, but it doesn't lead me anywhere.
I don't want people to nit-pick everything I do, trying to find every little thing I am doing wrong, but constructive criticism is really helpful.
So when someone asks for your input, tell them something they are doing right, as well as something they could improve! We will all get so much farther along in our progress that way.
Thanks for reading :) What do you think about constructive criticism?

I believe the principle is correct. I have learned though that you have to consider the source! :)
Years ago I played for a coach who would say "good job" but you can do better. Or try this or that to improve your effort. Sometimes he would be very harsh in his criticism but always pushed you to do your best and improve on that. Learned a lot from him.
You are right, constructive criticism is exactly that. "Constructive". You just can't take it personal. Good Blog post
Some do not like criticism, a few times I was invited to give critical opinion and received silence after that. Jovo

I love it but do agree with Christabelle. Sometimes it can be subjective, for example, someone said I needed to change header image, others said they loved it! :)
yeah, you don't have to take everyone's advice
