Wanna Make Money?
Have you heard about Patreon?
It's been around since May of 2013. According to Wikipedia "Patreon is an internet-based platform that allows content creators to build their own subscription content service." In that way creators earn revenue directly from their fans.
Creators of all genres (writing, video making, photography, drawing, crafts, dancing, cooking, etc.) get paid for creating the stuff they're already creating and giving away for free on their blogs and videos.
The Patrons or subscribers get to be part of their favorite creator's "community" by contributing a $1. + per article or video that is created during that month. For example, if you, as a creator, create 4 posts or videos a month, each of your patrons will pay you $4. if they pledged $1. Now, this has to be unique content that is not publicly shared.
So, if you regularly share information on YouTube or Facebook or your website, that's great, but you have to create something "extra" for your patrons, that is not freely given. Plus you make it sound so irresistible that they must subscribe.
I've noticed many of those I subscribe to on YouTube have added a Patreon invitation, so that they can convert me into being their Patron. In one case, a woman got smart and stopped "giving away" her valuable tips and tricks on YouTube and her website and set up a Patreon account. So, I have to become a Patron of hers to get the goods. In this case, I don't mind paying for new content in an area of particular interest. Plus I value her as an artist.
This seems to be a win-win situation for both Creators and Patrons. Just Google "Patreon" without the quotes and check it out for yourself. See what others are doing and discover how you can break into this wonderful realm of being valued for the creator you are.

I have a dormant account over there. I find it a bit difficult to figure out how to work in that system but eventually I'll have content to share and make use of this platform.
