Hey guys, I just started a new website in the travel niche and would love some ideas on how I could possibly monetize my site. More specifically the niche is narrowed down to cruis

Hi, Expedia is excellent. You can totally customize the interface. Keep trying with CruiseDirect, it took me a couple of times to get accepted. Just keep plugging away at your site and companies will start emailing you offers to advertise. I use Commission Junction for my affiliate advertising. They are excellent, with hundreds of companies to choose from. Keep me updated on your progress.

Best Wishes,
Eric

Oh that's good to know. I'll continue trying. Yea I'm also a member of commission junction and it really is good with the variety of companies to choose from. I'll be sure to keep you updated.

Hell Dion, I use Expedia on my site as well as DoHop, Priceline, Skypicker and CruiseDirect. Expedia afflilate network or EAN can be found at http://www.expediaaffiliate.com. As far as monetization, I make commissions from bookings and from my Commission Junction affiliates like the ones on my site. Hope this helps.

Best Wishes,
Eric

Thanks for the reply. How well does Expedia work out for you? Sadly I've already been rejected from cruisedirect. I'll definitely check out the other ones you've mentioned.

Hi. Very good niche. I am one traveling, hopefully this year. Planning to take a loan from Citibank but haven't confirmed yet. Going to India, hope your website will show me good products and services, I'll try
Here's a Twitter page of Travel Gov, A list there. I am not sure which offers affiliate program membership. You can dig through a little, thanks.
http://www.twitter.com/TravelGov

Thanks for the response. I hope my website will be able to. I'll definitely do that.

I'd go to my competitors and see how they're doing it. ~Marion

Thanks for the response. Yea I did and that's what led me to what I mentioned.

Luggage, Carry-On Bags, Books on Traveling Tips, Digital Cameras, Camera Accessories, Selfie Sticks, Swimwear, Trial-Sized products like tooth paste, shampoo, sunscreen,...

Omigod...YES! Selfie Sticks! Very much needed...lol! Nice work!

Lol thanks! yea this list is exactly what I needed. This definitely gets my creative juices flowing.

I just Googled travel affiliate programs+ and there are a lot of options. For example, TripAdvisor, Dohop, Priceline...

Thanks for the response. I know they are a lot of those which are like Expedia but I don't how great of an idea they are so I'd like to hear how well they work out from someone who has tried them.

There are plenty of reviews online. I didn't find any issues.

Oh thanks I'll look into those

Great...good luck! You're welcome!

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

Hey guys, I really need your help here. My premium membership is set to expire and unfortunately that means that my website that currently promoting WA can't earn me commissions

I have, on occasion, did site reviews at usertesting.com. They actually do pay you but you may need a paypal account. All that you need is a quite place and microphone to record your reviews.

Hi diondree, you can still make money through WA referals even as a starter member it is just half the rate of commission. Alternatively you can ad Google AdSense, but to make serious cash you need good traffic.

There are also financial products on clickbank you can promote, just check them out first to avoid promoting anything that could be a scam.

Best of luck - John

Hey John, thanks for the reply. Once you go premium you are unable to go back to a starter member so I won't be ab,e to earn starter commissions as far as I'm aware.

I was thinking about the clickbank option but it seems that finding a good financial product on there is like finding a needle in a haystack so I'd have to look pretty hard.

Diondre buddy, if I were you I'd set up a new siterubix website in a different niche. Ranking in the 'make money online' niche is one of the most competitive and most well covered topics out there. Instead, go to clickbank and look for self help products, research them thoroughly and then choose something you can back. Also, this article might be of use to you: http://nichehacks.com/easy-clickbank-rankings/

C

Sorry, I just noticed that I spelled your name wrong, Diondree!

C

Hey Claire, firstly you actually spelled it right lol. Diondre is my Diondree is my username which stands for my last name. Yes I noticed it is very difficult but I think I've been doing ok but just ok. I've been at it for two months and have made a commission so I think a bit longer I could get more.

I was thinking about what if I could create a new website also but since I'm unable to go back to starter and I'd have to create a new account for that but I'd be throwing away alot of hard work in the process.

OK, good.. glad I got it right at least once :)

You've definitely been doing OK if you've got referrals to WA, don't get me wrong at all, but armed with the knowledge you have, you could probably get quicker results with a different info product.. less content is required and if you check out the method on the link I posted above, you can get ranked a lot quicker.. just wanted to throw it out there.

So, if you are no longer premium, even for a short period, you have to create a new account? Or have I misunderstood?

Have you looked on JVZoo? I personally don't like the products on there, as they're all funnels which drive me crazy, but there are lots people out there who buy them.. I just don't know if you want to put your name to it.. I actually sent a nastygram to the site that I respected for pushing that kind of crap on me.. I spent $7 to see what the fuss was about and it was so painful sitting through 90 minutes of video sales pitch, that I couldn't bring myself to watch any more. Lol. Just check it out thoroughly first :)

Hey all I was looking around the internet for products to review and I came across one by the name of Automated Wealth Network. From the name alone it sent alarms off in my head

I haven't heard of them before and took a look round the net. It appears that they are very new, as in 2 weeks new and in my opinion I would not go near them.

They sound very much like a 'get rich quick scheme' aka scam to me. Why do I say this:

1) Websites that are already made for you.
2) 'Everything is automated'.
3) Making loads of money in the space of a couple of weeks.
etc

This was from a couple of videos I saw on online.

In my opinion, your initial gut instinct is correct.

Lis.

Thanks for that Liz now I can proceed to my review

You are welcome.

I've never heard of it. Sounds like they might be doing called "coregistration" which is usually linked to CPA offers. CPA offers are where you usually get paid per lead you generate. The amount a CPA offer pays out is determined by how much information the lead has to supply.

Best way to find affiliate programs is to search google for "your niche + affiliate program"

That sounds like exactly what it is. Thanks for the reply Paul.

I have not but I am still pretty new in the review area with my boot camp site

Not a problem Damon, thanks for the reply.

I was wondering what you guys find to be the better SEO plugin? Yoast or All in one SEO?

It's Yoast for me, I find it easier to use and you get a green light when all is well!

I line Yoast....it is highly customizable for optimum
SEO settings, and easy to use

Hmm definitely sounds interesting. Thanks for the reply.

This is where I found all of this information: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/seo-plugin-by-yoast-versus-all-in-one-seo-pack
"You are likely going to get as many different opinions on your question as folks that reply! They are both quite excellent plugins and while generally they perform the same functions there are differences between the two.

Like most heavy duty plugins that do several different things, these two search engine optimization plugins can be very challenging to truly learn how to use effectively. Of course, at the same time they also both are structured to be very good right out of the box and on install/activation at your site.

Truth be told, you are not going to go wrong using either one of them. Just don't use them both at the same time! But you might try one on your current project and try the other on your next one. See which one seems to do the better job for the type of sites you are running."

After about a few days I decided to check my sitehealth to see if my site trust had increased after leaving it at 0% for a while and I noticed that the score for plugins had dro

Unfortunatly several of us have notice and experience the same drop

I have had the same thing, mine went right down to zero on the plugs and I am back at amber, it is turning into a very frustrating tool.

As Kathy stated below it seems to a change in the algorithm. That seems to be the case and more specifically I think it's counting the plugins we start off with along with the ones we installed in trying to get under 5

Yay! I took my plugins off and the site health is okay now. Thanks for bringing this question up.

Hi sSchovajsa, I hope you did not remove all your plugins because some of them are essential to keeping your site spam free. I think the problem lies with any plugins you have added which have not been recommended in the tutorials.

I've had the same. It could be that the algorithm has been changed. If I see Kyle or Carson in live chat I will ask.

It sounds like it's something like that.

Thank you Jesus I'm not the only one! That doesn't help you much, but when you find out, please tell me.

I know the feeling lol. I sure will.

You're not the only one. Looks like most of us are having this problem! :(

Ohh feels better knowing i'm not the only one

We're using too many plugins. Waiting for someone to ever come up with superb 5 plugins.:(

5 plugins are impossible. Why should we be penalised if we use more? I know it can slow down a site, but if you are not having any problems what fix something that isn't broken? Lol

Sorry for the rant.

Lol I know what you mean. I don't think think it's an intentional thing on the part of WA. I'm assuming it would be resolved soon.
