New Year, New Notebook!
I am not a fan of New Year's Eve celebrations and will be spending the evening with my boyfriend, watching Jools Holland (UK TV show) with a couple of bottles of chilled wine. However, I do love the start of a new year itself. I get all giddy with excitement at the promise of things to come and opportunities to seize. Just like starting a new term at school, I get myself a nice new notebook, diary and calendar. All those blank pages and spaces to fill with ideas and content.
It is astonishing to think I only joined WA at the beginning of this month, but it feels like I have been here forever. I am proud of having built my first website, which looks quite professional, even if I say so myself. No income as yet other than $14 earned from being a certified commenter, but its early days. Have been accepted as an Amazon Associate and signed up with Awin. Applied to Google Adsense but no response - this was 10 days ago so I am not particularly hopeful for that.
As a freelance writer, working from home, there are both advantages and disadvantages to embarking on this new adventure. I have to ensure I complete my client's work first, no matter how tempting it is to write for my own benefit. Plus, it seems strange having to think of my own content; usually I don't have free rein and am guided by what the client wants. Of course, the advantage of having years of writing experience is that I am pretty fast at research and typing!
I can't wait to see what I can achieve in 2019 and I hope that each and every one of you finds success in this new year. All the best, Diane

As a freelance writer, you have a big chance to be successful on this platform, because, you have to feed your website with articles as many as possible, and you will be indexed by Google, I wish it could simple like that for me, I'm always struggling writing myself, because, English is my third language, even when I use Grammarly, that helps me to correct sentences, it's not 100% helpful.
