When it rains, it pours!

Life's clouds opened up and the rains poured

I've written about rainstorms before and how they relate to our website writing. The past few days have proven to be quite the proof for me and the family.

I haven't been on much for the past few days. One of my furkids--a very delightful toy poodle with a perfect personality, named Fire (she was quite orange as a pup and very active) suddenly became quite ill Thursday. Friday at our vet appointment, the news was quite dismal. Tidal wave dismal.

We made it through the weekend, though the vet himself was very surprised, and she is actually doing a little better each day. We aren't out of the woods, so to speak, but it's good to see her trying so hard and not giving up.

In the meantime, I had my second covid shot and it hit me hard--very hard. I don't often get knocked off my feet, but let's just say that the sofa became my best friend. Fire and I both spent the past few days there.

Thankfully, my family is nothing short of incredible.

The farm work continued. The household did, too. Meals were made, basic housework completed.

And in the midst of my convalescing with Fire, I came up with some great new ideas for my websites! Not so much the first day, but more on the second after the shot.

You see, even when life throws those punches, there is still cause to celebrate.

I'm happy for the heavy downpours of actual rain we received. I'm pretty sure our chance of brush fires went down considerably!

I am happy that Fire is better, at least for the time being. With her illness, it might not be permanent, but we are going to give it our best.

And I am happy that I had some "rain time" to think about what direction I need to take next.

Isn't that sometimes how it works out?

You might not appreciate the storms that life brings. But somehow, we can find that precious rainbow that the storms bring.

I'm still taking a break from my sites--it's been almost a week now. But I have a lot of new ideas to shower down on them in the upcoming weeks!

I hope everyone is having a rainbow-filled week!

Hi Diane, I will go along with the saying when it rains it pours. Sometimes everything happens at once.

I hope Fire feels better soon. Family is great and it is great when they have you covered when you are not feeling well.

I hope the side effects of the vaccine have worn off and you are feeling better.

All the best,

Michael

Thanks, Michael. I am feeling better. I'm not used to being so hard hit. haha

Thank you! I love the icons, too!

Glad to hear that you and the pup are feeling better. Do you think that maybe the dog ate something to make them sick?

My cat once swallowed some thread....with a needle attached. Still have the Xrays...lol. poor thing...

Yes, the break in our day-to-day provides us with opportunities just ready for us to see them...

Rudy

Thanks, Rudy.
I'm afraid in her case it's lung cancer with other infections. But miracles can happen.

Aww. Sad to hear. Hopefully she has a long time to enjoy life!
My terrier mutt at 5 yrs had lymphoma.. She lived another 8 years until she called it quits.

Yes, that is my hope, too. Glad to hear that your pup was with you for so long.

Yeah, thanks, Diane.

I certainly agree that when it rains it can seriously pour at times Diane!

I'm sorry to hear about your canine companion Fire's problems recently and hope that everything turns out ok.

We had to call out the emergency vet here a couple of nights ago, but everything seems to be better now, time will tell.

It's a great idea to take a step back and have a little break from time to time, the benefits from doing so can be immense for whatever reason.

Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day.

Thank you, Nick. I hope your fur-kid is better, too.

Very welcome Diane and thanks for your concern.

Diane, glad you and Fire are starting to feel better, my second shot slowed me down also.

Thank you, Roger. I hope you are better now.
