Surprise!
This morning, as I was researching keywords for future posts, I discovered something quite wonderful!
SURPRISE!Yes, it was a surprise, and happily so.
One of my websites, one I had not been giving enough attention to as of late, has several posts on page one of Google!
Even better, a couple of them made it to the number 2 spot, right under an ad and ahead of some pretty big authority site posts.
This means a few things to me.
1- I need to spend more time checking my post rankings to ensure I keep on top of things.
2- That site needs more attention as it obviously has increased potential.
3- Wealthy Affiliate Works!
I have a couple of other sites coming up the ranks, too, so that site has had less attention. I've actually only posted on it a couple of times a month.
Now?
Yes, of course, it's now on my priority list. The topics that ranked are ones I am able to write more about, offering readers even more insight. And yes, that means more possible affiliate links, in addition to a lot more content.
Another point that jumped out was one I already knew. I probably have more on my plate than I need right now. With a sick furkid, family, and other website work, I might have stretched myself a little too thin. I haven't decided how to handle that yet. I mean, family and furkids are not negotiable.
We have other family activities and needs happening. Some of those can be delayed slightly, but probably not a lot of time to catch up there.
So I might need to consider selling a couple of sites before I had planned. It's something to consider. In fact, if you have sold websites, I'd like to hear your experience with it. You can either send me a direct message or comment below.
I'm always willing to listen and learn!

Well done Diane!
This is a result of your hard work and your consistency to a point that your achievements come as a surprise!
This is a teaching resource for newbies and for members who seem not have enough time for their "business".
Yes, hardworking pays off.
Congratulations, Diane!
A nice surprise to wake up to in the morning Diane, many congratulations on your successes to date.
But I concur absolutely with you that family and furkids come first!
I'm sure that after reflecting, you will make the right decision for all involved.
In the meantime, enjoy a wonderful weekend my friend!

Ranking can be the validation that pushes us on to create even better outcomes.
Looks like things are going well Diane, hard work pays dividends something that never changes.
I am thinking at times we need to consolidate, that may mean selling down.
The key is that if we sell a web property we are not selling the skill set that helped us create it.
Rinse and repeat is a thing.
Congratulations and best wishes.
Very good point, Alex. I have plans for future sites, too, but need to sell a few first.
Thank you!
