Believe in Yourself- Keep Those Dreams BIG
I've talked about Dreaming Big and Setting Your Goals high before. I truly believe it helps keep us motivated. When you reach for a higher point than anyone believes you can, and you keep working toward those goals, you will achieve greater successes than you ever imagined.
One of my sons came across this article in the news today and shared it with me, knowing that I find science and tech fascinating. It was certainly an eye-opener.
My first thought was that Disney must be adding a new feature to one of the parks. Something like that would certainly fill up fast, even in Covid-era times.
But then he said, "No, read the article."
Sure enough, this is a real concept, already being created. This foundation has big plans for completion in 6 years. Well, they actually had the plans in motion a couple of years ago and probably quite sometime before that. But still...
Wow!
Ok, that makes my business plans seem like Kindergarten planning. Well, maybe closer to the high school level. I do dream big.
But... WOW!
I am aged enough to remember the first man on the moon. That was incredible! This takes incredible to an all-new high.
The first space travel was contemplated generations before we actually left the ground. Even the craft designs began long before those early missions had the ability to break through the atmosphere.
We need to dream, to set our goals, then make some actual plans.
And with that groundwork, we will soon be ready to build that first space hotel!

I don't believe in comparing my own path to that of others. We are each unique. But I am using this article and other people's goals and successes to reevaluate my own path. While I probably will never stay in the space hotel (not sure I really want to, in fact) I might reach some of my own goals. In fact, I might actually set those goals higher!
My own version of Star Trek missions (business and personal) might not be that far away!

I think I have to set some new goals. Did in the past but forget all about the big dreams. I mostly consider doing weekly tasks. But I guess you are right, need to focus on some BIG Dreams. Thanks, Diane.

That's a challenging post. The idea of a space hotel is a big dream. I am happy with a couple of days in my RV. But, I keep dreaming.
I am fascinated by the space program but have no desire to be a part of the trips. Enjoy those RV trips!
Excellent Post & Share Diane. Unfortunately, at my age if I were to make a reservation for a room I would probably be the first burial launched in space. I would still be happy to watch it on television.
hahaha-- don't count yourself out yet, Ed. Who knows how long any of us will continue to walk the Earth. Or even when some might live in space!
Great post, Diane. If you really think about it, much of our 'modern convenience' was a pipe dream in someone's mind not too long ago. Keep on dreaming and don't let the nay-sayers stop you!

That's true, Steve. I've often wondered what people from centuries ago would think if they were transported into our era in a time machine. The shock might be too much for them. Then again, changes happen quite quickly, even today.
