Commitment
It is an interesting word. It means so many things to so many people. We can be talking about almost anything where commitment is involved.
Do I commit to one woman, one career, one savings plan, one lifestyle? Hard choices all of them.
Commitment, or lack of commitment, leads us to where we are in our lives. If I had committed to saving 10% of my earnings, I would be retired today, If I had not committed to one woman, I would miss out on one of the best things in my life.
None of us really know where our commitments will take us when we make them, we can hope an dream and that is what makes us human (the ability to imagine more than what we have).
I have committed to joining Wealthy Affiliate. I feel that it is one of the best things that I did in 2017. Now....the question is am I committed to succeeding within Wealthy Affiliate in 2018. Success is not easy, it takes work and perseverance. Many people are afraid of success, because success changes, us and we do not like change.
Oh, I know everyone says that they want to change something, that is what New Years resolutions are for....the desire for change. I rarely make a resolution, of any kind. Prior to 2017 life was ticking along nicely and I was not worried about making changes. 2017 changed all of that, and I now find I need and actually want change.
I say I am ready for change and ready to commit, but actions speak louder than words. I need to actually do something to make Wealthy Affiliate work for me.

This quote is true, after being here a while, the amount of time involved in creating a successful website / business seems daunting. The further along in the training I get the more I realise how little I know. Wealthy Affiliate is unlike any university out there, They actually provide the tools to get you up and running, show you the way to promote and monetise, tell you that you can do it, if you just follow the training.
There it is commitment.
it takes commitment. I want to say that I am committed to learning and doing here at Wealthy Affiliate. I am still struggling at present, because I have not found the niche that I love. I am working on it, doing research and trying to parse down what will make WA fun for me. Once I find it I know I will be OK.
I am committed to the community, I answer the emails every day and I comment and help when I can, but my website does not receive the same attention that the community does. I will change this, I am already working towards change.

I already love it here, the system the community the help from everyone. All of it makes me want to come back and be involved every day.
So, if I already love it then I am committed - right? You cannot love without commitment.
I would like to thank the support group here at Wealthy Affiliate. This is what makes WA so enjoyable. The comments, the help, the understanding. Everybody is on a journey here and you never know where the road will take you once you take the first step,
May all of you continue down this road and find what you are looking for, be it happiness or success.

Thanks for an interesting post, Alex. I spend more time with the community and researching the posts for my website than I do actually writing content. I'd like to change that for 2018 and write at least a page a week. However, my niche requires a lot of research for each post, so things are slower than I would like. Yes , We have to have commitment to get anything accomplished. Commitment to ones self to accomplish what we want to get done,provides a satisfaction that one needs to experience early in life. This then allows you to learn to build on that satisfaction to experience that sense of accomplishment again and again stawhu (Scott)
Awesome post, but boy can I ever relate! I plan to be committed to the WA training and committed to blogging 3 times a week for 2018. I hope you find the niche that calls to you and dominate it! Good luck this year my friend, and keep sharing your positive, motivational posts!

This is a great piece and it resonates with me in terms of things I too have experienced. Especially "research is what I do when I don't know what I am doing." This has happened to me often.
Your niche will evolve as you discover new things and then one day the answer will be there right in front of you.
Follow your passion and if you don't know what it is yet, then learn new things until you find it.
