I am trying to edit the main page of my site but it doesn't appear in the pages section, how do I edit it?
hey Gavin,
if you create a page titled home page then set up your theme to have a static home page ( appearance- customise- home page as static page)
this becomes your home page - but as said below the standard for most themes is the blog roll.
i set mine to static until i got enough posts to fill the page.
good luck
phil
Thank you for your assistance, this may be the way I need to do it going forward. Thank you for you contribution.
By default your main page is automatically generated from your blog roll. If you want to edit it, you have to create a page and set it as your static front page. This should help. Where to Land on a Static field

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to change the page which your posts go to, my site seem to have the home page as the blog page, I would ideally like to have only the 6
Go to Settings > Reading and change the number of posts per page there WordPress Settings
Thanks Marion, I have looked at the setting, if I change my blog page to static and select my preferred page it just changes it to the home page. Is there a way I can have the preferred page independent of the home page?
