A gift from me to you. A fitting end-of-year story sprinkled with humor, as a reward for all of the hard work done here at WA 2017...

Once upon a time - The final chapter

...The president and SEO of WA Land, Kyleader, briefed the subjects of WA Land about the way forward for the coming year. “You must think you are a brand before you are a brand...see yourself as an authority…You must have that confidence” After his powerful and effective address, many became excited and in their notepads, started to weave and knit new paths to success.

A few miles away, the return of a special weary traveler Jay Statewalker, brought joy to many. He was always away on special missions for months at a time in his special Sub. However, he was always in touch with the community but usually over a broken connection. As usual, with helping hands, Dr. Chin-lee would volunteer his usual services whenever Jay Statewalker returned, because he always acted like a 15-year-old. He just needed to get home to his bride and fur-balls, he said.

Meanwhile, the excitement was building around the book, “7 saucy steps to success” and Stefani’s arrival...

The Arrival - Strange visitors

Suddenly, a deafening sound could be heard coming from the sky. Many left their windows open to catch a glimpse of the jet overhead. It was Stefani’s jet, but he was not alone. There were at least ten other craft behind him. Who could they be? The craft were huge and seem to have very recognizable logos plastered all over them. Why was Stefani amid these strange craft?

Someone had begun shouting... Apparently they were in contact with Stefani as he approached WA Land. Stefani had radioed ahead. “Prepare for an insurgence of traffic, he said.”

Commanders Louis and Marian hurried to the fore to defend WA Land and prepare for war. They had organized every possible form of counter-attack strategy for any type warfare. They were doing this for a long time and had thought of every conceivable way WA Land could survive an attack. They had valiantly defeated the inhabitants from the QuestionsRus and the Noreads Galaxies, by hyperlinking them to search-engine-fieldsque maneuver tactics, and had earned the respect of the President and SEO and all of WA Land. However, there was no need for war, as we will soon find out.

[Narrator (me) decides to take a breakfast break)... Is breakfast done yet?.. Not hearing what he wanted to, he returned to his desk to continue writing this story. It's time to finish this story…”now where was I?”]

Elsewhere, on hearing the news, Barbie was busy trying to put some reporters together quickly, to cover this brewing story, but to no avail. She then remembered that she had access to the king of all writers, Mikey. (Barbie quickly disappeared to another event brewing) He quickly conceded and began to write with both hands. A feat unknown to all until now. (Narrator - "Now you know"). He wrote as though the world was coming to an end…

Preparing for war?

In the meantime, the craft had proceeded to land in WA Land’s massive domain space owned by the community. All of WA Land browsed the sky in awe at the surreal experience that was taking place before them . Overwhelmed by the size and the number of craft, and the anticipation of what would happen when they landed.

The gripping excitement sprinkled with panic was so tensed, that it oddly created a fearless stance to defend their home-front at any cost, if necessary.

Backstory:

Over the past recent months, WA Land had lost some Weary Associates because of an attack by the DDoS Pirates. They turned some into slaves and called them Web-servants. WA Land became very overwhelmed by the uninvited guests and a sea of very bad traffic passing through, flooding all over the place at the same time.

The great multitude of visitors and traffic

As Stefani descended his now landed jet (his face red with excitement, ostensibly very relaxed), he began to announce his strange visitors to WA Land. They had also begun to descend their large craft.

“Here is Bark Zubaderg from Funny Fables and his two billion followers, Zack Darcy of Twittville, Deff Mezos of Amadeus… Barry Leaf of Boogle…” As Stefani continued to announce the now recognizable names, all in WA Land began to wonder how he had accomplished this great feat of bringing these quality visitors and traffic to WA Land. Visitors that will stay forever, hopefully. “It’s all in the book,” it’s all in the training here in WA Land,” he said.

There were also some recognizable faces as some Weary Associates had returned.

Commanders Louis, Marian and veteran Mikey, now surrounded Stefani to get more details to officially report to the President and SEO. Someone was heard shouting in the distance “are there any subs? (It was that guy Jay Statewalker again, but now armed with a new communication device for his next trip.)

Conclusion

Stefani’s strategy was simple. He had followed all the training of the President and SEO, the Vice President, Jay Punkcut and many others.
