Good news! I can't climb two mountains at the same time
Dear Friends!!
I have not been blogging on here recently (except for posting a training) because I have been busy working on my site, namely writing blogs and tweaking things a bit. I am enjoying it as I am getting to have a "fresh-eyes" persective.
I am still very much involved in helping the community. I cannot seem to help myself, though I have reduced the effort a little bit. By the way, how much help is too much? Should we be performing help-desk activity for PC issues, assisting with code (sometimes web development) etc. or just basic help such as clarification with WA training and minor issues? Not complaining though. I love to help!
I must say that I have returned to my "first love;" the excitment of posting new content on my blog and the healthy therapeutic rewards of writing. I feel much lighter now and I would even dare say, happier. I am pleased with myself. :)
- Next step will be getting more engagement to my site.
One thing I have realized is that I can't climb two mountains at once. Ranking on Goolge, Bing/Yahoo, inspiring others, traffic, traffic, traffic, money, money, money are all a part of my renewed focus.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear :)).
How are you spending your time?
Time is short and purpose is great!
All the best and much success to you!
David

I agree with you.You will be in a much better position to help people and inspire more people if you can make your site successful first. You will be happy too.
Better to spend 80% time on your site and 20% here.
Wish you all success.
Well said Midhun!
Appreciate you taking the time to share and advise.
That ratio is correct!!!
All the best and bountiful success to you.

Hi D
I think you are doing both it is just that you changed your priority. That is a great thing. What you do for WA helping is a blessing, it is a pleasure asking a question and receiving your help. Please leave me a private message with your site and I am more than happy to comment, or what ever you need.

Thanks for your kind words, Karen!
Much appreciated!
Keep pressing on and success will come!!
Bountiful blessings of health, wealth and success!

I beg to differ, David. I believe you are climbing many mountains simultaneously, you're just chosing which mountains are most important (at the time).
I wish I shared your passion and talent for writing content. I struggle, but I am getting a little better every article I fight through.
You are an inspiration. Keep leading the way.
:)
Hi Craig. That's true figuratively, I guess. I was looking at it from a literal standpoint. Perhaps you are right...
Just keep at it. You can do it. Read one of my old blogs on writing here The Idea Factory is Coming to Town .
Thanks for your kind words!
All the best!

David, thanks for sharing your inspiration and motivation! I seriously need to consider which mountain I should be spending my time climbing.
I hope your week is extremely productive.
Thanks, Sondra!
I am choosing to make it productive. I am my own hard taskmaster. I have to juggle all this with meeting deadlines for my clients as well. :)
Appreciate your input. You will make the right decision. The thing is, when you prioritize, time is redeemed and you get to "goof" off a little bit in between :).
Have a great day!
David
Live your life and do what makes you happy! Your friends are here, do what you got to do! Enjoy!
Is that you in the pic with selopettes and crampons?

you have been doing an awesome job but you have to do that which either supplements or is your income
Thanks for taking the time Jerry.
Yes, we just have to juggle as the case may be. Some things become a priority at times.
All the best!
