For now, build the website according to instructions in the training. You need to get the site up and some content on it. Even after you've gotten this all together, you will need to let it sit and for it to propagate and rank, get indexed. Then you can monetize it.

You can do some research ahead of time for products that your customers can benefit from, but you need to get some content on. Think of them in tandem. While you are working on your content, you can take a few minutes each day to see what products would benefit your visitors. Keep a notebook with the details so you have easy access to them. Once you have some content on your page then you can think about adding product links via affiliate or other programs.
