New Beginning!
Well, if you are reading this post you are one of my favourite people, a community member of Wealthy Affiliate! I am officially one month into my WA life (yes a complete newbie) and it is an exciting new journey for me and I am never looking back.
New Beginning
After spending 30 years working in various different careers, and in my last career as a civil servant within provincial government here in Ontario, Canada I decided to take the plunge and leave a secure, well paying job to embark on something completely different. I wanted to break out of my comfort zone and channel my skills in a completely different direction that is fresh and NEW. Feeling self-fulfilled is very rewarding and for me this is achieved by working hard for YOURSELF and not the boss in the corner office.
Stumbling Across WA
Similar to perhaps many of you, I researched alternate ways to make money that didn't involve a 9 to 5 office environment and gratefully discovered the affiliate marketing concept. I initially took interest in another online marketing guru (I'm sure you know who I am speaking of) and early on decided his particular approach is not for me. Lucky for me, I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate and a great community of like-minded individuals.
A Journey without Destination
It is only until this past year when the proverbial penny dropped for me that life is short, it moves quickly and before you know it your opportunities are lost if you don't seize them early enough in life. The personal goals I have set for myself can never come quickly enough and I need to remind myself to enjoy each milestone along the way, including writing this blog to all of you and receiving feedback and input which I value tremendously. I will set and reset new goals for myself and understand that this is in fact a never ending journey of growth and challenge.
Impressive Community
Within my first month I have learned a great deal about affiliate marketing and what is most impressive is the support I have received from WA (thanks Kyle) and this great community that comprises smart, ambitious entrepreneurs. In a world that is quickly changing, it is comforting to see the support and kindness that many of you demonstrate to me as a newcomer.

As a newbie, I continue to learn how to navigate this community and effectively progress through the training. Writing blogs is great fun, and I am intrigued at how many strategies and tips there are to learn about affiliate marketing. What is equally fun is learning from this community and engaging with all of you virtually. Thank you for your support and I look forward to connecting with you as we work collectively on our journey to personal success!

Hello Nancy, and welcome. As you probably know, it is a tough road ahead, and it needs to be navigated accordingly. You have that mindset to do such. Stay focused, learn from trial and error, and be determined to succeed. Bravo for going premium. It shows that you are committed to your online business. You have made a wise decision … great. Keep it up. You should have gone through some of the lessons.
