Live long, live well and prosper.
I admit I am not a Trekkie but I love the words of Spock who said "Live long, live well and prosper.
I just found something I want to share with you. It is from Rabi Daniel Lapin in his book Thou Shall Prosper, page 326 about how we should never retire and that the Hebrew language does not even have the word retirement in it.
Wow. I guess my thoughts about passive income and retirement have all been wrong. The Rabbi states that we should live by breathing eating and working until we die
That is a new thought for me even though I have been working all my life and am doing so today at age 85. I have no plans for retirement.
I guess God designed us to work until we die That definitely is a new thought but it encompasses the fact that God designed man to work and that the work we do should not only bless ourselves, and our family but others as well.
So Spock had it right after all "Live long, live well and prosper." And we prosper by working and helping others, not by retiring which God does not want us to do.
I remember the story of a great man though I forgot who it was that on the day of his death he was teaching a child to read.

I must be Jewish and didn't know it. That's kinda how I live my life...You and me, we "mature" folks have to keep moving, and working online gives us such an excellent way to be productive, even when we are a bit long of tooth. (Where the heck did that phrase come from?)
I looked it up Fran--The older a "horse" gets, their teeth get longer.
LOL--google it!ππΆ
Your answer just ignited the spark--I've learned something new too--I've heard that saying before on occasion!

My definition of retirement is being able to do what I want when I want, and not having to trade my time for money,
My passion is to help people live more resilient lives.
Retire as soon as you can and then pursue your passion.
There is a great deal of research that shows that people who know what they want to accomplish in their lives live longer, happier, more productive lives.
Retire early and pursue your calling till God takes you from this earth.,
I think that is why all of us are here at WA. In the first lesson, Kyle tells us to find our niche. Niche equals passion.
Go forth and help people live better lives. In the words of Zig Zigler,"Help enough people and you will do well."
