If yo are using windows if you look when you save a document their is an option to save as a PDF in the save file as feature. The screen shot below should help show where I am talking about it is when you are saving the document file.

Hi Calvin,

I know how to do that. What I am seeking is that visitors can chose to down load a post as a PDF...in exchange for their email address...

try "designrr" it's an ebook creator that takes your blog content and packages it into pdf ebooks. I played with it once not too bad.

Iv'e got this feature and it is a plugin, "Print, PDF & Email by PrintFriendly"

What is the benefit, I cannot see? An unnecessary plugin will only slow down the website.

For the benefit of people that want to save the document on their computer for later perusal. As for slowing down the website I have near 20 plugin ins and my site speed on the majority of all post/pages in mid 90's. It depends on the weight of the plugin

That is a myth. Not all plugins slow down your site. In fact when you know how...you can set you rplugins to only load on the pages that they are needed for.

The point of the "Get this article as a PDF" is to build your email subscriber list...

I thought it was an extra piece of UX, that's what made me use it

Checked up the plugin. I am not sure that it can do what I am looking for.

Basically, I am looking for a plugin or a way the deliver a post as a PDF, should the reader chose to, enter email..get delivered the post as a PDF..

Well, yes, it is good for the user to be able to get a post as a PDF..in exchange for email..good for site owner and owning traffic...and list building.

Could that not be done through your autoresponder?

Am just wondering if there is an option "send this file as a PDF"

Sure can send a PDF by autoresponder...but which post as PDF..? not something preselected by site owner..but by the actions of the visitor..and then onto follow up sequence. Brian Dean does it ver well on Backlinko..Not talking about the regular freebie give away here

Why not email Brian ans ask him(Tongue in cheek) :-:

Postgopher!

Never used it
