Hi WA'rriors and WA'rriorettes!

I remember this time last year I got My first sale Via Feb 4th 2016 and was ultra exited! hyper! My first sale ever

Y'all know it ..or at least I hope you do..

The commission dance!

I was a bonafide $3.40 millionaire!

Confirmation that the Wealthy Affiliate method works

Fast forward one year I am kinda dissapointed if I don't hit $300 monthly even though that represents an almost 10,000% increase

I added pretty two zeros to that (and regularly do!).

Now, I know $300 is not quite enough to retire on or go livin' la vida loca!

Or give up the day job!

But I do know I will add another zero to that by the end of the year and perhaps be disappointed "to earn only $3000 monthly"

One year on.. from that bonanza first sale?

well today, I got 12 sales on amazon alone and 2 from a much higher paying site.

A little bit like the Young fellow Colton James says, (and I cant remember word for word)

"You gotta continue going pushing past that point where most people, and practically everyone else quits and keep on going, keep on creating that content because it will pay off in the end"

It is not creating the content that helps you to succeed the the ability to just keep on going even when it is dark and cold out there in the internet and that sales dial is stuck at zero!

I can't wait to write that follow up a year from now and see how many zero are added to that initial first sale figure!

Ciao for now

Derek

Update:

Unbeknown to me the following month (March 2017) I was to hit $720 mark! Nice!

Good inspirational post and it is true we need to keep going even when it seems we are far from our goals we have many people who have been broke at the end of their tether and used the drive to turn it around

Thank you Katie. We all gotta keep on going but as Marcus points out keep on checking and taking a step back as well to makes sure all is going right.

You're an inspiration, been close to quitting lately, but thanks to you going to keep at it. Thanks, Deanna

Keep at and keep in mind what Marcus1978 has commented (very relevant)

Well done. Keep at it.

Thank you kindly. I shall most certainly stick at it!

Yes, it's important to keep going, definitely. It's not just about that, though. I would like to add that it is also about occasionally taking time to reassess what you are doing.

For example, if someone was to set up a website and 1 year later they are earning $200 per month, they should keep going. After 5 years maybe they will be earning $1,000 per month.

But if someone sets up a website and 3 years later they are still not making any money, clearly something is very wrong. That person should not just keep going. That person should take a step back and reassess what they are doing and what they can do differently. Maybe it's the wrong niche, or they are writing content in the wrong way, or maybe they are doing keyword research incorrectly...whatever. There will be something they can improve or change.

Of course, this is a simplified view of things, but the principle is there. Don't just keep going. Keep going but occasionally reassess whether you're actually pointed in the right direction. if you go too far in the wrong direction, it's a long way back...

I couldn't agree more with you there Marcus. Taking steps back to reassess is important as is watching the numbers (not just the $$$$), traffic, numberof items sold, average earnings per thousand visitors (EPM) earning per click average and look for signs of growth and improvement and continue if it is all going in the right direction.

If not reassess and look to improve at every opportunity.

Way to go, Derek! I'm doing the happy dance with you :)

Congrats on your awesome big sale and pushing on. That pushing on business is the tough one when those dark clouds come in and but no money is raining down.

I hope you get many, many more sales and you get to add some more zeros!

Ashley

Thank you Ashley, and You too, hope you get many more sales too.
