It all goes to show that it is not only Google that love quality content, Produce top notch stuff, show it off as demonstartion in your pitch, and owner of 1M+ monthly traffic sites WILL check it out!.
After all they too are in the business of top quality content and wanting that for their audience.
Believe in yourself,
Believe in your project.
Because it WILL happen.
It case you are wondering, yes!! yesterday was part of my ever attempt at doing outreach. 10 or so emails sent..two positive results but this one a DA 90..even blown my mind!.

To be honest, the name of the site, (which I'm not gonna mention!), is one pretty much everyone has heard of had me a bit shaken!...Thinking of hiring a pro writer to do the job for me (best foot forward).
Then again, my sample work submitted obviously good enough!.
Still has me a bit shaken! in a bit intimidated! (in a good way!)
So this is something on guest posting with the possibility to link back to your site. I never did this, lack of time I guess.
As you said, your own work was good enough, I am sure nobody knows your particular sub-niche better than you, so do it yourself, have confidence.

This is a very encouraging post-Derek and I wanted to thank you for it because everyone needs an encouraging post to keep on going and not to give up on what they have worked so hard on,
It will happen you are right because we don't know what is around that corner. Success happens to everyone at different times and some of us are still waiting for our turn but it will happen.
