Denise, I feel the same as Richard. My business comes first then if I can help others , great. I don’t worry about the numbers. The main thing for me is if anyone is looking for me, I’m easier to find if I’m in the top 50 - 100 or higher.

Hi Trish…

Don’t worry about too much. As the platform goes though many upgrades this will happen time to time (it’s happened to me as well).

While the rankings are a great motivator and it is nice to be ranked as it shows your activity in various ways in the WA community and platform — its has no barring on your outside ranking in Google for your site (where your income will come from).

Lastly as Andre has pointed out, the ranking at the moment has also been having some glitches that could affect it as well.

It will stabilize, just keep-up the great work you’ve been doing and you’ll succeed.

Have a great day!

-Mike

Thanks Mike, makes sense but it was nice. I appreciate your response, thanks for sharing!

Trish has given Kyle's post reguarding the ranking.

It will move up and down along the way don't worry too much about it.

It doesn't give you any financial rewards nor does it have to do with your website which should be your main focus.

Yet at the same time, it is nice to be ranked as it shows your activity in various ways as per the post-Trish gave you.

Also, note the fluctuation also depends on those around you as they may be more active within WA which can cause such fluctuations.

The ranking at the moment has also been having some glitches that could affect it as well.

Andre

I really appreciate your response, you're so correct. Thanks for sharing!

You are very welcome Denise continue to focus on your website and you haven't already suggested seeing Vitality's last training which just finished but when the replay is ready it will help your blogs post more

Hey Denise,

You may find Kyle's tutorial on this topic helpful: Hope this helps you.

Awesome, I'll check it out again, thanks for sharing!

As Abie mentioned, it's based on your activity. It's not surprising to see it fluctuate.

Got it, thanks for responding!

Keyword, Niche and Market Research

Hello, for the last week I've attempted to do a url search in Jaaxy and I keep getting the same results, time after time. I'm asking if something changed that I missed, or sho

just tried it with the two // at the front and it returns some results...
i.e //segmetrics.io

So awesome, giving it a try now!
Thanks

never tried that feature - should it return similar websites or keywords from that site...

Hello, from what I understand, it will show you the keywords that ranking sites similar to your niche are using to get into those top positions. Those that rank on the 1st page.

I'm learning! Denise

that's what i thought it would do...
but it is returning just url's relating to the search query...
maybe worth highlighting it in the official bug thread...
or in live chat if you find Kyle in there...

Okay, thanks because I haven't gotten over to Jaaxy to check it out again yet! Will do.

I'll be checking out this training class to learn more in the coming days.

You can click the clip in comment and attach your screenshot.

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

If issues persist, please reach out to Kyle on their profile space

Hello, I'm asking this question because I've already set up google analytics for my website. Is it okay to run them both - Monster Insights is pretty persistent inside the dash

I think all you need is Google Analytics. I have not found ANY reason to add anything beyond GA.

-Mike

So glad I asked the question. Thanks for replying!

Hi Mike
At the beginning, you're absolutely right...
After a while, the Search Console gives you more ability to analyse aspects of the Analytics stats such as Indexing, Ranking and Keywords found in posts.
:-)
Richard

Not necessary. Google Analytics is good enough.

Awesome, thanks!

All Monster Insights and Sitekit do are read stats in Google Analytics and/or Google Search Console and present a subset of information within the WordPress dashboard. I.E. they're convenient and help with regular feedback on results, although not necessarily very detailed.

As far as I can tell, SiteKit doesn't slow your site load speeds down, whereas apparently, Monster Insights can.

Notwithstanding the convenience... I prefer to learn to use GA and GSC.
:-)
Richard

Thanks, I’m sticking with those!
Denise

Google Site Kit is good even Kyle recommended it. MonsterInsight and OptinMonster like Abie said is not really needed. It can slow your website down.

Thank you for your quick response! Agree

You can do yes. Really you do not need it, as you can login source to see your stats.

Thanks as always!

Most welcome!

Hello all, I have a question. I was one that started off on the wrong foot! I was building my site too broad with several different types of products until I read Kyle's post

Hi Denise…I think your well covered here and I had a similar situation as Triblu, however, just keep in mind that the products, content and reviews you have on a niche site should all make sense/ and align with your niche.

For instance, if your niche site is on pizza, you don’t wanna list pasta recipes. If you want to stick with different kinds of pizza recipes you can go pizza by nation pizza by region but you still want to stay in the pizza niche.

-Mike

Hello Mike, that does make sense. Thanks for your input!
Denise

I’m glad it does. If you have any additional questions Eric has some really good training they can help filling in the gaps.

-Mike

Okay, thanks I'll remember that!

Hey Denise,

Those decisions are really only yours to make.

However, what I can do is share with you MY experience when I first came to the WA platform...

Here goes...

I setup about 5 different free sites on the SiteRubix server... deleting each one right after I discovered the niche was either too broad of a niche, too competitive, or there were too few affiliate programs available.

Then, I finally found not one... but TWO niches.

Yippeeeee, right?

So, I registered two different domain names... and got to work.

I kept writing and writing and writing content... and publishing each post that I wrote.

Then, one day I realized that BOTH sites were in fact more like categories to the SAME topic.

Boy, did I feel silly.

So, I got to work and merged those two sites... and BOY! Was that ever a learning session for me... merging the content from BOTH sites so that I wouldn't lose anything, comments included... pheeeew!

Merging the two sites required a brand new domain registration... and thankfully, I found one just typing in different names... a GOOD one that had been previously registered (so it had authority attached... what luck!).

The other two domain names... well, I had those EACH redirected to the new site so that Google wouldn't slap me for not letting their software know where I moved the content too... and it WORKED!

Now, I'm no newbie at creating websites... and I've tinkered with internet marketing for YEARS before joining Wealthy Affiliate... heck, long before even knowing this site existed.

You'd think I'd know better... but alas, I had LOTS to learn (and still DO!), and thankfully Kyle's lessons really have helped me over the years since joining Wealthy Affiliate.

So... whatever YOU decide to do with your websites and the content, just "bit the bullet" (because I think you already know what has to be done) and do it.

A year from now, you could be sooooo glad that you did.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hello Trish, you have blessed me with these details. I completely understand everything that you just described.

I don't feel so bad like I'm the only one! I really appreciate you for taking the time to explain, it's helping my thought process.

I do know what has to be done, and this was super helpful, thanks so much!

Denise

I think you could continue along with what you’re doing. The site name doesn’t have to match. Like Jeff said, I think you’ll be ok.

Thanks, I didn't think so - I remember hearing that someplace. Really appreciate you!
Denise

You’re welcome. Good luck!

I think that you will be alright, Denise!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, I did read an article a while back along these lines. Thanks

You're very welcome, and take a deep breath, I think you will be alright!

Jeff

You can always build a new site, with a different niche. It hardly costs $20 per domain name.

Thanks for the reply, I'm considering it!

Hi, I'm noticing that when I build my blog posts from inside the site content Editor, it has the images and details that I put there. Once I publish the post, and start making

If you edited a document in site content and published it, future edits has to be done in WordPress. Site content and WordPress work independently.

I'd place my images in a document in site content and publish it to my site. it will be added to my WordPress media library. Then delete the “temporary image” doc in site content so that it does not get indexed as well.

That's great advice, one page did index an image on both sites. I just deleted the page and started over, couldn't fix it. Thanks
Denise

Oh okay however I hope you were able figure it out.

Yes, I did thank again!

That's awesome and great to know.

The two are completely independent, Denise. Once your original post has transferred from Site Content to your WordPress site, changes made in one will not reflect in the other. They are not synchronized.

Thanks for your reply! I was noticing that but thought something was wrong. Now I know that they are not synchronized. Really appreciate you.

You may find working directly in WP a more convenient option eventually.
