Four Months With Wealthy Affiliate
Hi Everyone,
Today marks four months since I joined the WA community! I never would have thought I could do the things I have done and be learning what I am learning! WA has opened a whole new world to me, and I continue to be glad that I found and joined this community.
This is what I have accomplished in the last four months:
- Website published
- 10 pages
- 21 posts (will be 22 tomorrow)
- 49 comments including mine
- Belong to several affiliates (no sales yet)
- Working to finish the certification course
- Posts indexed in Google a couple on page one
The last few weeks, however, have not been without their frustrations. I finally figured out my subpages on my recipe page and now I have to figure out how to make my recipe main page not clickable. I want only the subpages to be clickable.
The other frustration is my mobile and desktop speed. My mobile speed is 26/100 and my desktop speed is 35/100. I knew they needed some work but did not realize they were quite this bad! A lot of the stuff I need to fix I do not understand how to fix it so will have to do some research to see if I can figure this out. My friendliness was 99/100, so I am pleased about that. I was thinking of changing my theme, but now I'm not sure if that is a good idea.
I am also in the process of looking for a new job that is a little closer to home, and that has not been going well. I know something will come along, but it makes things a little scary in the meantime. I did send in an application today, and I am hoping this is the one. I would be working with preschool kids again only the drive would be 20-25 minutes shorter. The only drawback would be that I wouldn't start until August, but at least I'd have a job until I start making some income from here.
I will say that I am here to stay and am not going to give up! I may be going through some frustrations and having a little trouble with my writing right now, but I will persevere! I think when I get my speed better it will improve my traffic. I am getting some traffic, but I think my speed is keeping them from really spending any time on my site. I will not let this frustration deter me from my dream!
I think some of my problem lately has been the worry about not having a job in sight and not knowing when that will happen. I feel like my mind has not been as clear lately as it should be and that could be affecting my writing.
Not knowing how to fix the speed on my sight is a little bit of an issue as well! I know I will get it figured out with a little research, but that type of technical stuff is a little out of my realm of knowledge.
Sorry this post has turned into a little bit of a downer, but it feels good to vent these feelings and get them off my chest! Thanks for reading! Hopefully, this next month will go better, I will figure some things out, and will have a more positive post for you all next month!

You can always vent here Denise - you are in a safe environment and the chances are that someone else has also been going through the same kind of thing. It helps to know you're not alone :)

Congratulations on 4 months here at WA! You know what? It's ok to vent and get frustrated. We have all been there at one time or another. Keep busy here at WA, write down positive affirmations (that always helps me), and even try some mindful meditation. It helps with focus and keeps us centered. Maybe go for a walk or do something fun for yourself. You deserve it and will feel better, too. Sending a hug your way ~ Diane
