Premium Membership - The Big Question
I would like to share my opinion on the question I see asked almost daily here on Wealthy Affiliate - Should I Go Premium?
The decision to go Premium is a totally personal one and has a number of factors to consider.
I will not go into what you get as a Premium member, versus Free Member, as WA lays this out clearly.
The first and most obvious question seems to be can I afford to go Premium?
My answer was "Can I afford not to got Premium"?
Here I am wanting to make a living online using Affiliate Marketing. On offer is a very affordable program that offers you an incredible amount of value for a very low monthly fee, that gets even lower if you pay annually.
The success rate of people who go Premium is 5 times higher, that is great odds, wouldn't you agree?
This business is based online and is so unknown and scary to a large group of people. Spending money to learn, get all the necessary resources and support, seems to freak out people and creates so much negativity and distrust. Often this negativity comes from family and friends, which makes it even harder to get your head around becoming a Premium member.
What If This Was A Brick & Mortar Business?
Option 1 - You are offered a shop with free rental, and a small amount of stock and basic training to get you going. Sounds good, but with the free rental your shop is likely to be on a back street, with hardly any passing traffic. As your resources and stock are limited, it is more difficult to bring in new customers, and retain them.
Option 2 - You are offered a shop that you have to pay a small monthly rent for, and included in the rental is triple the amount of stock, increased resources and technical support, not to mention unlimited training. As you are paying rent, your shop is now on the main street, or very near, so your passing traffic should increase. Your shop will be better run and your ability to bring in new customers great due to the resources you have available.
If you were considering these two options I believe most people would not hesitate to go for Option 2.
My goal is to sell 40 dresses a month for the first 3 months and then increase that to 400 dresses per month. Why then would I choose Option 1?
Investing In Your Business
When I first joined WA a few years back, I actually was not serious about using it and was just looking around the internet. There is nothing wrong with that. However, when I finally made the decision to come back here to get the business training and technical support that I needed, going Premium was my only option. To me this said I was ready to invest in myself and take my business seriously.
So back to my original question, "Could I afford not to go Premium"? For me the answer was a definite NO, I would not settle for any less.
At the end of the day your success whether you are Premium or not is 100% up to you. How you use what is on offer and how much work you put into it will be the determining factors.

Premium in my opinion is the only way to go! I have learned so much from the training not to mention all the support from the Community!
It offers so much more, and is so well priced, what you get from Premium, if you tried to do that on your own, who knows how more it would cost.

Go premium, don't look back and work hard!. In fact I say go yearly! By going yearly you will be forcing yourself into taking action - to earn back that investment as quickly as you can (one caveat...don't rush the training in case you miss something).
It is exactly what I done. And while I don't boast any outstanding success as of yet I do hit close on 4 figures monthly for about half an hours work a week sending out 3 short well crafted emails, it is nothing to be snuffed at!

Thank you Denise. Very well said. You are of course spot on. That's about how I went Premium too. With that mind set, the one that makes the commitment tends to match the energy that goes forward in the journey.
I would say when, as a starter member, your commitment and energy align, your vision will become clearer and you'll make the move.
Then all the doors open to help with the online success journey for anyone.

Hi sorry I cannot remember which stage it was in, if I remember correctly it is one of the lessons in Stage 2. Kyle shows us how to insert photos and gives a list of where to find royalty free ones. I am off to bed now, but I will look up some links for royalty free photos for you tomorrow. Sorry if I misunderstood you. Night.
Just rereading your question. Do you mean you want to insert photos on your website, like in your blogs? Or do you mean you want to change the photo on your theme that you have used in your website?
