I put more than 2 or 3 internal links if the content is relevant. I don’t put all of my internal links or external links as hyperlinks in the text, so it doesn’t damage the user experience where they accidentallly click on something. I usually write something like “other recommended resources” or something along those lines, then add the titles with the url hyperlinked there.

There is no definitive number of internal links or external links for content. The goal is to give the user the best experience. If there are too many links, it can be hard to scroll without clicking on something, so you
just want to be mindful of how to give the best user experience.

Thank you!

Does it matter if your site is new or has authority? Mine is 3 weeks old.

You won’t have as much content at 3 weeks, so you won’t be able to have as many internal links.

You’re welcome.

I normally have one per post but 2 can't hurt, in my opinion.

How long are your posts?

Most of them are between 1300 and 1400 words but I have a few with over 2000 words.

I try to use 2 each post
- Koda

Thanks

For blog posts longer than 1500 words, I use two internal links.

Thanks

I was just wondering if you need to use the exact keyword in order to get ranked on Google or if you could use a variation of the same keyword.

For exam

I remember chatting about this via private message. It looks like the community has given you even more good nuggets. Hopefully you feel better about this topic. Let me know if you still have questions.

thank you
it is a lot more clear now :)

I'm glad. You're doing great. I'm glad to see you're mingling with the community, and making sure you're clear on things.

You will have in the training how to set up Google analytics and search console the definitive way of finding out as all your articles have to go through Google Search Console to be Indexed. For now you can use Jaxxy as suggested below and also use it as an additional resource once Google analytics and search console have been set up.

Although it is good for you to be so interested and enthusiastic and reading and finding out all you can about subject matters try and match it with the point you are at in the training that way it is offsetting the relevant content of where you are at!!

There will come a point when you can do all this at will only off a good solid base and foundation where you have secured the basics in the training.

Have fun!!

R.

Thank you so much

Your welcome!!

I'll add one more thing to what has already been said... In addition to ranking for other keywords that appear in your post besides the one you target and use in the title and first paragraph, you may very well also rank for keywords that don't even appear in your post at all, but are similar to your targeted keyword or other keywords that are in the post just because you wrote naturally about the topic.

When this happens, it's because the search engines are able to figure out that certain queries that people are searching for have the same or very similar meaning to keywords that appear in your post, so you will start to rank for those.

To give you an example, I have a post that targets the keyword "hockey shot pad." I used it in the title, the first paragraph, and then wrote naturally after that, so it might have appeared again, but definitely not excessively.

Over the past month, the top three queries for that post in terms of both clicks and impressions are the following:

diy hockey shooting pad
homemade hockey shooting pad
hockey shooting pad diy

The post's average rank for all three keywords is on page 1 (between position 5 and 6). However, NONE of those three keywords appear anywhere in the post, it's just that the search engines are smart enough to know when people type in those queries that the content in my post is very relevant to them.

Hope this helps,
Jordan

Very well informed and useful additional post!!

Wow! Thank you so much! I had no idea that you could rank for keywords that don’t appear in your content.

Just another quick question. How do you track your links and rankings? Is there a software that does that for you or do you need to do it manually?

You can track your rankings in Jaaxy by keyword and you can eve set automatic scans daily or weekly and so on. For links you can track them in WA in MY STATS and you can create also in WA custom links that if anyone clicking on them (whether a picture or a text lik) they will appear after also in MY STATS.

Hi,

I disagree.

You are meant to use the exact key words..... yes....
Use again in the first paragraph.... yes
and again just to make sure....yes optional
No overstuffing of your key words Google says a no no

Both Kyle in the training and Jay in seminars have excellent advice on this

Have fun R.

Okay I understand now thank you so much. It really clarified things for me.

You are most welcome...;

Hello there.

Yes you need to use the exact keyword you are targeting, because you researched for the metrics and if is suitable then there are more chances to rank.

For in page SEO, I would recommend to use your exact keyword embedded in your title,

For example if your keyword is "best remote controls" Your title can be What are the best remote controls for home....

Your keyword is in your title, or your keyword can be also the title if suitable.

Then try to use the same exact keyword on your first 100 words in your post, your intro.

And that is pretty much it, don't need to stuff keywords, and as you write about this topic, you probably will rank for a lot of other keywords that you did not even research, but are competitive and naturally have been inserted in your content.

Take care and good luck!
Pablo

Aha so I only need to have my exact keyword in the title and in the first 100 words? I just want to make sure that I understood correctly. :)

This is my latest post. I tried to rank for the keyword "how to learn affiliate marketing for beginners"

Could you please take a look at it and tell me if I have overstuffed it with the keyword?

Here is the link :)

It seems like you are really good at SEO and I am so thankful for your help.

I just look to your post.

Not at all, your SEO is right there and your have a very clean and clear voice.

I am not SEO expert, but what I know about SEO is that is not about the Keywords, that is secondary, is like a guide for Search Engines to see where you are aiming, but the most important is your content, and the added value for those who land there typing those keywords.

I see in your last paragraph you have a variation, and that is ok.

Again, you will rank for a lot of words that you write because your combinations are unique, and that without even knowing it.

I am still testing it myself, too new, but I know from previous experiences that this is the way it works.

I left a site a couple of years ago and without doing anything i was checking the analytics just for curiosity and for a "stand still" site as it was by then, I was pretty surprised.

Good job and keep it up!

Thank you so much for the valuable information🙏🏼

You said you were checking the analytics. What do you mean by that? I have always wondered how do you track your links and how do you know if you have any visitors to your site.

I meant Google Analytics and Drarch Console. You also have metrics at WA in My Stats.
