Wow! I got another achievement to celebrate!

Wow! It looks like the blessings are pouring on me this week because I got another achievement to celebrate with you all, my fellow WA' family!

I just found out that my song entry under the Lyrics Only Category in the recent UK Songwriting Contest 2016 almost got me into the semi-finals.

My song entry entitled, Stay was commended with a score of 6 out of 10. It almost got me into the semi-finals because a score of 6 is a borderline semi-finalist score. Explanation of the judges can be found on

I felt over the moon and inspired to write more songs. Although I know how to sing and put melodies into my songs, I don't know know how to read notes and play any musical instruments to accompany my songs. So, I decided to join in the Lyrics Only Category. I need to study how to play the guitar and learn to read notes so I can add music into my songs.

Just like in our online business, we just don't study how to build websites but we must build a foiundation that will help us succeed through studying SEO's, Social Media Marketing, E-mail Marketing, Affiliate Marketing so fortth and so on. We have to update ourselves regularly in order to remain current. This will improve our brand and eventually gain authority in the future.

The same holds true in creating music. If I want to be known, I have to create a brand for myself by composing songs that the general public ( young and old) would love. It needs to be current with good melodies that are catchy and memorable. So, I guess I need to work more harder so that next time, I will be able to join the other categories. It's time to learn how to play the guitar and to learn how to read notes, LOL :)

Anyway, besides a six week SongU songwriting courses and a Broadjam film and TV package for 6 months, I received this Commended Entry Song Cerificate which I could include in my portfolio, LOL :)

This is another achievement to celebrate but this also serves as my inspiration to continue doing my passion in writing songs, poems,and telling a story. This gives me the drive to move forward and to start the coming year full of vitality and positivity!
