My advice is manage your time. You should be working through the 10 day programme (if you have just signed up for free) or the 30 day (if you have become a Premium Member) These programmes will set you off in the right direction and get you started on your first website.
There are lots of interesting resources but at this point I would limit the amount of time you spend looking at them, becuase they can serve to confuse rather than help and this in turn will stop you making progress.
The people who succeed at IM are the people who take action consistently but also ask questions. So do use the Live Chat when you have a quick question or post to your blog as you have done so here or in the forums for longer questions.
