Updating my website once again with new motivation

After starting the training from the very beginning, which I might add is VERY refreshing, I've started working on my website once again. I've finally updated it after a two month hiatus which I don't want to happen again. I need to force myself to update it regularly even when I don't want to so I'm going to be looking at my goals daily to remind myself what I want to achieve.

You can also say I now have new motivation to press ahead and (hopefully) stick with it this time. I've recently just had a MAJOR change at my job that has me a bit unhappy. The position I've had for the last 2 years has been eliminated as my company moves to a new project where my position with the old project is not needed. I still have a job, but it is now a.....less desirable position though fortunately I'm not going down in pay. Another thing too is that who I work for just got a brand new facility on the other side of the city which now means a longer commute for me which I do not look forward to as well.

I'm sick of being subject to these types of changes to a typical 9 to 5 job, having to request time off and not always getting it when something comes that I want to go to or participate in. being subject to shifts I may not want, etc. The problem is, I tend to get into a comfortable zone sometimes at the job and forget that things can change daily and I tend to get shocked when something happens with the position I'm working in.

So what am I going to do about it? Work on my website and try to shed the negative attitudes and thinking such as "Why am I working on my website and still not making any money?" or "Is this really worth my time?" I've got to remember that this takes time but if I stick at it, follow the training again to a tee, I WILL be successful at some point. There are people here posting and blogging that it took them sometime to start making the money that they want, but they are finally DOING it!

I've recently tried out some other programs regarding online marketing and how to make the money you want and there is one theme that they talk about which is what WA talks about as well regarding niches. People in any given niche has a problem or hungering for something that they need and if you want to succeed in that niche, you need to find out what that problem or need is and develop a solution to it, generally better than anyone else can. If you can do that, you've got your ticket to success! Simple as that!

The problem comes when we put up walls and roadblocks to get that ticket to success which is what I succumb to a lot. I keep thinking how hard it is to find what it is people in the niche I'm targeting, wants or needs. Now I do update my website with some nice information and my experience with products in my particular niche, but is it what people really want or is it what I THINK people want?

This is where it comes down to research and I really need to hunker down myself and do this. What are people looking for in my niche? Can I provide that to them? I've got to remember that if I quit, I've truly failed. If I try something and it doesn't work, it doesn't mean I've failed, it just means that method doesn't work and I move on to the next and until it DOES work. That is something we all need to keep in mind as we work on our sites to eventually become a very profitable business.
