Getting a bit Frustrated all Because of Rankings
Don't worry, it has nothing to do with the rankings here at Wealthy Affiliate. It has to do with rankings from my site on the search engines and I'm just completely baffled.
I don't understand how some of my posts, especially some of my earlier ones from early last year, easily rank on the first page of Google, but a decent majority of my posts since then are not getting rankings at all, or are ranked on Bing only, Yahoo only, or Google only.
I'm using Jaaxy to find the rankings of my posts and the keywords they are centered around. I thought it maybe had to do with the length of the posts as most of the earlier ones ranked on the first page of Google are over 1,000 words. I then checked a post I had done back in April of this year that's just only 542 words and it is in position 6 on the first page of Google and position number 1 on the first page of both Bing and Yahoo so that throws that particular theory out the window.
My most recent post is nearly 2,000 words, requested and got it indexed by Google and have a few comments on it that I requested from here and it is NOWHERE to be found on any of the three search engines or at least on the first 20 pages.
My traffic count is way down and so is my revenue from AdSense as I haven't had any clicks from it in the past 2 weeks or so and I'm shifting away from AdSense for a bit for my more recent posts and focusing more on product promotion through Amazon.
I'm starting to feel though that I am spinning my wheels and not getting anywhere with my posts even though I've gotten my first couple of affiliate sales earlier this year. Maybe the search engines think my content just plain sucks? I've been using the All in one SEO plugin.

That's the thing, some of my posts are well past 6 months and are not even ranked at all which is extremely surprising.
You're exactly right, but I'm not giving up as at least some of my posts have ranked well, but certainly not the amount I hope would.
Try to check in Google search if you duplicated titles that are already existing that maybe one of the reasons.
Try to check your permalinks they might not carry your titles.
If you are using Yoast and it shows SEO is good and everything is good maybe there's a need for you revise your title.
Brian, I wish I could help you but I don't have an answer.
I just had a look at your website which looks great.
I'm just wondering if all posts have meta titles, meta descriptions and internal and outgoing links.
If you are using All In One SEO your meta titles and descriptions should be happening automatically. Linking of course, is not automatic.
Another important factor is to have alt text in all of you images.
It might be worthwhile checking those things in posts that are of concern to you, regarding ranking.
