Hi. I want to share something I happened into that may help some of you. I have always gone forward, at times completely blind, back in the day in college, new courses, new technologies, and now into technologies and subjects that may be helpful in this pursuit of making a living on line. The bottom line here, the message: don't avoid or quit because you don't exactly know what you're doing, even if you find (whatever) to be totally over your head.

An invitation to join a local WordPress group popped up in one of my online visits--I think it may have even been here, when I was working on something to do with WordPress.

Hmn, I thought, maybe I can learn something by attending this meeting.

I checked into it. The member profiles revealed that these were professional web builders, college professors of web technologies, company website maintenance people and etc. Trust me, I knew whatever they had going on-- it would be far, far over my head. But they were meeting in a local pub--and that sounded friendly.

And it was--

and friendly.

What did I gain? I learned a lot about WordPress. I learned a lot of new words that get me closer to understanding what I am doing here in Wealthy Affiliate. And I met two new friends, both of whom were willing to answer newbie questions (for free) and as paid consultants. What valuable resources.

I live in a very small town, but close to two universities. First, I am impressed that I found this resource close by (it's not always easy), but second, many of you live near this type of resource also. I believe you can find these meetings listed in WordPress.

Finally, don't be afraid to surround yourselves with information that speaks above your heads, and, especially, people who speak above your heads. Something good will rub off on you.
