Why Are people Still Intent on Spamming Their Links?

Last Update: September 30, 2019

Yes I want to know why people are still intent on spamming their links here at Wealthy Affiliate?

This is a bit of a rant and it is something that still happens. First of all sharing your links here is against the rules. Yet some still do it!

Why do they do it because they are selfish or they simply do not know the rules but I am sure many do. After all everyone should got to the rules section first to see what they can do or can't do. I have placed the link below at the bottom of my post to the rules section.

Wealthy Affiliate is not here for you to promote your links. Damn if it was OK to do it then we would all do it. Look even Jay doesn't spam any of his Links and he could if he wanted too as he is the Live training Chief here.

What is beyond me as why people do it to the newbies here. First of all if I was new and I was given links to Thrive themes and all other Pro plugins. I would have run a mile because all I would think is everyone here is just wanting to take my money. Not only that it would take me from The very thing I need. Which is the training Platform we have here at Wealthy Affiliate.

If I was taken from Wealthy Affiliate to say to a link to Thrive Themes which I have seen someone promote this morning to a newbie I would have totally lost my way. I would have ended up leaving Wealthy Affiliate and failing altogether and that would be because others are intent in earning their commissions outside of Wealthy Affiliate. Even a Pro plugin to Elementor too. Nobody needs pro until they get their head around the Free version.

Please be fair. Do not share your links in places like your blogs and most definitely not in the Ask A Question Section. All the training any newbie needs right now is right here on this very platform.

Please adhere to the rules. Otherwise, Wealthy Affiliate would become a place of battle on who gets in first to share their links. Like I said if the Professionals and long term members don't do it then nor should anyone else.

Kyle and Carson have just got rid of a load of spammers that all were just starter members you will end up this same way if you continue to abuse the rules. Please don't do it. This not fair to our new members here. Please don't take them from the very thing they need which is Wealthy Affiliate.

There is a place to post your websites in your OWN PROFILE but keep all your links to your website only. DO NOT SHARE THEM ELSEWHERE PLEASE!!

Here are just some important rules I think you should know.

No1: No unsolicited messages promoting products, services, or outside communication to be sent through private messaging. This will lead to immediate removal of your ability to post anywhere within WA.

NO4: No promotions with comments or chat. Although these may seem like subtle ways to promote, if you are caught doing this, you will likely lose privileges. If a link is posted out of an act to help someone, not sell something, that is OK.

  • (This means that you can ask for URL's to help others in live chat with their website but you cannot promote links like Thrive or Lead pages or Aweber as an example where you can gain commissions by promoting your links.)

NO7: No adding ''Affiliate Links'' to any blog, training, discussion or private message

NO18: No Promoting ANY product whatsoever

NO19: Anything else that you are knowingly doing in attempt to sell something.

Here is the full list of Rules below and if you have already placed links and think we don't notice we will just press the spam button. Losing your Write Access is not a laughing matter and it cuts you off from all write access you have here. Rules are there for a reason and it saves a lot of back stabbing and arguments. Please read the rules.

Here are the Spam is A No No rules. Spam is no no

Rant Over:

Have a great week all of you here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Thank you, Shaunna,
It is a shame but it still happens and it is so unfair to our newbies too for sure.

Thank you Lily it is lovely to hear that also from a newbies perspective.

Thanks for your kind words Debs. It's confusing enough when you start, definitely don't need distractions.

Have a lovely day, I'm heading to bed.😆

Feel better for that :).. Though I am in agreement and what you have to remember is this, a lot of people here have zero idea how to market and think spamming works which it doesn't

To endorse and confirm what you say on our profiles are links to our websites and social profiles where people can follow those they choose to follow

Following happens when WE write informative quality content, which invites the follow

Spamming links is a no no

I do actually Dave to be honest.;)

I just hope the person reads it as I don't want them to lose write access. I have also told them underneath where they have spammed their links.

They are not bad people and maybe this person doesn't know lol.
Thank you Dave and you are so right.

Thank you for passing by and your continued support you give me always.

Sorry, but I did it once for one person. I think they have ignored it so I did not see any response.

Jimmy no worries you are not a serial spammer and maybe the person asked for the link. That is a whole different ball game.

This morning I have seen 3 links on just two questions. They shouldnt be there. I just hope the person in question doesnt lose their write access is all.

Yes it's definitely an issue. It's fine to share helpful links to other training or your own training , or those that don't involve the person self promoting or earning some sort of kickback. But, as you say, all other forms of links are considered spam. Jim

Yes it so unfair Jim.

It's not fair to all our newbies here it is highly confusing and some of the links shared are super expensive and are quite hard to learn so they are straight away being taken from the very training they need right now.

That is right Here at Wealthy Affiliate. The training here is so important.
