Monday Morning Blues Not for Me! Resilience is the key!
Yes you guessed it. Monday morning blues are a thing of the past. Well suffice to say it's now Monday Night 21:19 UK GMT. I have my weekends free so I can do as I please. I don't have to do the dreaded commute on the tube in London. Or like I had to do years back when I was younger.
Standing at the freezing cold bus stop in York North Yorkshire to get to work as a Dental Nurse. Sometimes getting on my bike to get to work with my hands and feet and hair frozen lol back when I was 16 in York. Not a good look lol.
If I was lucky enough although it wasn't allowed my Mom might have passed me, she was an ambulance driver so she would sneak me in the ambulance quickly. Naughty I know but she has passed away now so she can't be reprimanded. (Rip Mom I miss you) Been a dental Nurse that pay sucks too. Dentists make a fortune by the way and that is part of why I am writing this.
I was lucky enough to move to Spain and worked for myself I earned good money as a sales person. I couldn't find that freedom in London like I had in Spain. That is until I met Wealthy Affiliate. Gosh that day it was like angels sitting on my shoulder. It took me a good few years to find Wealthy Affiliate. Thank goodness I did. I still got those angels sitting on my shoulders :)
My Monday Morning Blues are well gone. My Resilience still persists.
My Monday Morning Blues are gone because I work for myself. No commuting no Bike rides to work. No stuck in traffic as obviously I drive now and have been since I was 19. No boss, No been told what to do. No been told off because I was late. No been told off cause I left work early to get my kid cause they were ill at school or work etc or hurt themselves.
No bowing down or begging down because my Boss may have been a nasty piece of work and they love their authority over you. I ask nobody because I do not need to anymore. That is the best feeling in the whole wide world. I am my own boss. I love it!
To do that I had to train and learn in the inside of Wealthy Affiliate. Train I did double hard cause I had no clue what to do in the beginning back in 2016. Train I still do. Every single day I train. I have to it keeps me in the loop. That's were you are going to need resilience.
You will be tried and tested on your resilience in the months to come in your future at Wealthy Affiliate. This is not no overnight success this is a long time online Business you are going to build here and if you do it right a lifetime Business it will become It depends on you and what you want.
My goal is a lifetime business and a legacy to leave my kids. That is my end goal. Always has been always will be. They support me even in my bad times when I wanted to give up. They are the ones who know my full journey of Wealthy Affiliate inside and out. Yhep they even share my tears when I feel I have hit a brick wall.... Damn I love my kids :)
I made the image below from Canva it so reminded me of my daughter and the little dresses I used to make for her. I missed out on taking her to the party's as I was always working. I wished I could have done the Job I do now Online. I could have shared more of my time with her. If you have young children you will resonate with this image!
Success comes with hard work any "Top Online Business Marketer" will tell you that!
Many times you will question yourself. You will even question and doubt if Wealthy Affiliate works. Let me tell you it does work, it works because I was a real ditsy in the beginning. I didn't have a clue about online marketing let alone even writing a blog post like this one. As I learn and grow my websites and knowledge grow with me. So does my own wages. Lol I like my wages.
Now that is something we do not often get in a 9 to 5 jobs. Your lucky to get a few extra dollars or pounds in your wage packet if they feel you earn it. Remember in massive companies you are forgotten about. Like the lower end of the pay line.
The big bosses sat in their executive chairs tend to forget about the little people. The ones at the end of the line in paychecks. That is sad and I used to be at the end of that paycheck like I said dental nurses are paid next to nothing.
The dentist I worked with was a right spoiled brat. He threw a matrix band once. When the patient left he asked me if I thought he looked ridiculous. I told him straight up he looked like a spoiled nonchalant kid throwing a toy cause he couldn't get the matrix band to fit around that tooth.
. Now I had to work very close to this guy as a Dental nurse. Our knees touched as we both worked around one person head he at the top of the head and I at the left-hand side. Just so you get the picture. I was that close because I had to pass over instruments like a surgeon in surgery lol. A boring job to say the least as there is only so much you can do to a tooth lol.
Not only that imagine going to college/university those places cost fortunes on any Mom and Dads pocket or even any student. They are already in debt before they even get a placement or jobs. I was offered a placement at the open university in web design etc. It was going to cost me a good few thousands of pounds to just get started.
That is before WordPress came about as widely used as it is now. You don't need to code or css to build a beautiful looking website. You don't even need to pay for themes if you don't want too. WordPress has brilliant themes that are highly customizable for free.
Imagine that course would have took me straight to unemployment because anyone can design websites nowadays. WordPress is so easy once you get the jist of it.
Not only that I still remember the Open University sending me round the salesman to my house. Wow they love to pull you in with big up sells these guys do. Thank god I saved my money and found Wealthy Affiliate.
Getting back to resilience! Here is a great Example of a person with resilience!
Here is a guy I know, his name is Jason. He works like a 65 hour a week jobs. He trains himself every day here in Wealthy Affiliate and he also goes in Live chat to help others. Not only that he is also helping his wife. She is a fabulous writer but needs help in spelling as she is dyslexic. He helped his wife and bought her own website. How cool is that. I know Jason's wife Olivia is a good writer as her website resonates with me in a big massive way. I have seen her website What Olivia writes comes from her heart. You couldn't find that in any text book. It takes someone to write about that kind of subject you need to experience it yourself. A wide subject that most in the UK authorities have no time for is Depression.
Now that is what I call a guy with resilience. He is working hard his jobs are no way in the 9 to 5 category they are way above that in hours.65 hours a week + He cares for his family and goodness knows how he finds the time to spend time with his boys but he does.
Resilience is the key to have an end goal in mind helps you to achieve it. Overnight success is not going to happen!
Work hard trust in the training and believe in yourself is the key. No Monday morning blues for me anymore. To top it off. I have just booked my weekend away with my daughter and myself on a spa weekend. I have just booked her another week in Holland so she can catch up with her friend. I am making up for lost time I lost when my children were toddlers. My daughter is 17 now and she and my Son are my everything. Time flies by way too quick.
Our weekend is going to include some work for me though lucky for me I can take my work with me. I love working for myself. My work goes were I go. woohoo. I love my kids I love my work and I love Wealthy Affiliate and I love all of you in Wealthy Affiliate that have helped me in my online journey along the way.
Let's all get resilient and get stuck into the training and free resources we all have here at Wealthy Affiliate. It's simple the training works. The key is to trust yourself that you can do this! Giving up was never my option. Don't make giving up your option.

An incredible post, Debs. I relate well to the image of your daughter in the dress you made for her. That was one of the pleasures I experienced from all the clothes I made for my two daughters. I used to work long hours at night sewing when they were small. It was the longest space of time without interruptions.
They always rewarded me with smiles and hugs with each new item.
There is so much in your story I relate to. There's nothing as great as being the owner of a website or two, where we can enjoy the rewards, particularly from being a member of Wealthy Affiliate :)

It kind of hurt doing that image and by gosh does she look like my daughter as a little girl. I used to love making dresses out of netting. I always loved the fluffy ballet tutu's. I can see you doing that for your daughters.
Now I cant wait to get my grandchildren. I know you have many and that post of yours always stuck with me when you was getting ready for that party for your Grandchild.

Resiliance -- yes, that is an excellent word. We do need to be able to bounce back from the trials...
You know how you can forget about pain once the thing that was hurting has recovered? I think it is true in WA, too, that as we move forward we forget about how much we have already learned. We have assimilated it and it has become part of us. However, there is so much there that we didn't know when we started. We need to remember to give ourselves some credit for each step of the way.
You are doing well, and can certainly be proud of your progress. We are all watching and wishing you well.

Debs, I have not known you long. So, I don't have anything to compare to your past writings. That being seen, your words speak volumes of your fine character and your love for what you do. You're a fine businesswoman and a better mother.
