I am not a Writer!
It's always that first sentence you see in pale grey text Write whats on your mind. So I am writing whats on my mind. See I am Not a Writer. What defines a blogger if I cant write.
It took me a while to sort this one out and I come across it alot. Those questions???
I am not a writer.
How am I going to write?
Where do I start to write?
I can't do this what about my grammar?
I dont Know a noun nor Pro Noun let alone a Metaphor?
See nobody at all needs to know you are not a writer.
You don't know what to write about! Yes you do!
The value is just been you!. Letting your value show through be genuine be open. Show somebody you care your passion alone derives value.
It doesnt matter what you do try it the most brilliant words might not work and the silly ones do. Take a chance. Start writing it may be bad but you tried it, which is more than most would ever do.
There is an old Saying from Oscar Wilde. He has quite alot of sayings. I like to read about him. Here is one I think is fitting for this post.
"BE YOURSELF BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS TAKEN"
Do not be like anybody else: be you. Do not try and be like someone that sounds good. They are better at being them than you are. If you want to get help then grab your husband or wife or friend. Your Mum or Dad siter or bruv. {LOL that rymes!} Talk to them.
Tell them about you what you want to do. Write your blog post or article as if you are talking to your best friend. Let you shine through. Nobody else. Sit and chat and explain to a friend. what you want to do. Ask questions. Find yourself. Start writing. If you have something to share then share it.
Simple words sometimes sound better than tech savvy ones. Think about it a law Paper how annoying are those you need a text book handy to decipher the codes. Who Like's that nobody not even the lawyer lol.
Conclusion:
There is nothing magical about writing the magic comes from you. When you start to write you will see your passion flow. Hey if you don't know what to write about then you can be like me lol I have a stack of A4 Notebooks and more screwed up paper than I care to think about.

Hi Debs, I think most of us feel that way every so often. What helps is to just keep on writing. The more we write the better we will become. Then we can always go back and spruce up our old post after we gain more experience and knowledge. Thanks for sharing this!

Hi, Thank you I am glad you like it. Believe it or not I have two "O"Levels in English but that was over 20years ago. Leaving school at 16 and I am now 52 today. My Spanish I write better too. hey who says we cant do it cause guess what we all can.

Especially now because the English is not the same English as American English nor Canadian English.

Very nice article Debs,
I am not a writer either.
But since I started to write (so far still - only few thousand words),
I am beginning to see the beauty of it.
And as a matter of fact, I do not live in English environment either.
But as you mentioned Debs, since there are many English versions (US, Canadian, Scottish, South African, Irish, Australian, and so on) I said to myself that the readers might think that I am coming from a different region than him :)
Anyways, the most important thing is, that we deliver the point to the reader/visitor of our site.

There are so many versions of the English Language lol. Keeps us on our toes. I have to admit it does get easier. I still can't remember though all I was taught in School. To many years ago now.

Yes I quite agree with you. Been worrying myself that my readers would think this English is different, turns out I do not need to bother about that.
