Generations Z What Now
Generation Z yes the latest We have seen them all I think from Baby Boomers to Millenials Now we have the
New Generation Z. "Millenials on Steroids so They Say."
You are probably wondering why I am posting a blog here about the Gen Z. Both my children are born in the Generation Z era so it kind of sparks my interest. They have never known a life without the internet. The they were born between 1998 and 2016 meaning the oldest member to day is just 19.
(My children Generation Z Babies.)
No offence but they are pretty hard to communicate with head down on the Internet and ear phones in. They don't take much notice of what we have to say. I know because my kids are the same they are dumbed down not in a bad way but Internet way.
They favor streaming content in snack-sized bites, like Youtube, and consume it mostly on their phones and computers and Ipads. That also means they are entering college, soon to join the workforce and spark their own way round.
Commonly Known as Micro Miners too.
They rarely watch TV shows , and are unused to live programmes with advertising.
Generation Z are the similar to Millenials yet have quite large differences. Most have probably helped out with poor and most will have donated to charitys in their lives. "They may be even interested in going a different route altogether, one that does a better job of embracing their acceptance and their belief in being inclusive certainly a lot more caring to the world around them"
What Brands and Products need to know about the values, attitudes, needs and barriers being expressed by Generation Z in order to effectively target and communicate with them?
Marketing a product
Totally is changing as you can see. Things have changed. They are more open to a different way of thinking. Probably think Fake News is real and prefer instagram and Snapchat rather than Facebook. Especially with videos and Live feeds.
Generation Z Characteristics.
- They prefer cool products over cool experiences.
- Entrepreneurial and tech-savvy.
- They respond to edgy campaigns...
- Give them control and preference settings.
- They are quite a caring lot
- Not really ones to follow Governments

Now that we have reached the end of the alphabet what Gen AA?
One problem is the big tech companies strategies on how to increase device face time. My daughter is 23 (yesterday) and we still have device free dinner when she is here.
Notice I said still. We have always eaten together and always been device free at the table. Well, mostly device free to be honest.
Well Steven I take my hat off to you because mine are a nightmare. If I mention it they say well you are always on the net. So it's a bit of a catch 22.
I think its brilliant that you have your time out all of you for dinner. I would love those values back too.

Not saying it was always easy but we made it a priority. There's no substitute for creating that family time and talking to each other about all kinds of things. Besides, I really believe we need to unplug even though Apple, Google, Facebook, and Amazon would disagree. But they have a different motive.
Who knew 1984 would arrive in 2001...

Yes and you are so right Steven unplugging is a good thing. I wished I had done that with my kids for sure. I do get fed up if I am in the street walking and I talk to myself because they cant hear me lol.
I now not only double check when I am driving I now check to see the child crossing the street with ear phones in. I know they wont here me. Especially in our streets of London where the traffic is awful. Its like oh my I am 10 times more vigilant. We have to be but its crazy :-)
No direct experience with this generation Deb’s, I just notice similar age groups, do similar to what you describe.

My two kids are the Gen z Lol you dont get a peep out of them much, unless I switch off the internet then we have to have a meeting cause they come out of their rooms complaing lol. So in a sense the gen Z is the zombie Gen.
Sad really but they do have hearts of gold. That i do notice with them too.

I do believe so they seem more aware of surroundings and have a more caring nature and they just dont seem to fussed with the news.
That was brought out of statistics too. About the giving part which is pretty good. I thought.

Since I am several generations back from Gen Z, I am not up to speed with that generation.
