Do Not Make This Error.
I have just spent an hour chatting with a potential referral in Messenger. Doing what I do. I have just made the biggest mistake ever.
I like to promote the free Members entry. So there I am doing my thing. Only for one great Referral. a nice young man may I add Come back to me and say.
"I can't enter for the free link as it will not let me."
I have never felt so foolish because I didnt know that certain countries are not allowed in for the Free entance and they are not allowed the first Month $19. They are only allowed to join as a premium member.
Well for starters that's my business self gone out of the Window and all because I didnt know that India wasnt allowed in as a free member.
I am trying to build trust but I have failed miserably this time because I didnt find out the Do's and Don'ts properly.
I am so embarrased and couldnt apologise enough. If that happened to me I would be gone already so for those that don't already know. These countries are not allowed to Join as a free members nor are they allowed the $19 first month offer. They are only allowed the premium join up.
Here are the countries that are not allowed do not make this silly mistake as I have just done.
- India
- Bangladesh
- Pakistan
- Vietnam
- Philippines
- Nigeria
- Kenya
- Morocco
- Egypt

Sorry to hear that, see it as a learning lesson try and find out why things are this way because we are talking about a huge potential # of people who could become WA members who I am sure could help them financially too. Debs, you are being hard on yourself. There is just such a gigantic amount of information we need to know. Wealthy Affiliate is the genuine real deal. Don't lose your passion and excitement with promoting the opportunity. We got to be out there and will make mistakes which we learn from.

I haven't lost my passion but I want to gain trust and if I cant give the trust then my referrals will not stay. I want my referrals to believe in me. I want them to stay.
Thats why I think this so important to share and India is a massive country and a very prominent one to us all in all online activities.
At least the more people that know the better. I wished I knew Because he would be here now probably happily getting on If I knew that India didnt have the free Members area nor the discount of $19 dollars.

Some times we have to learn the hard way, life is full of that, and I get the embarrassment caused to you because that has happened to me too.
As much as we try to be abreast of all the issues with online work there will most always be something that slips through the cracks.
It has caused you a problem, I am sure that you are going to try make sure that it doesn't happen again.
Keep doing what you are doing, tweak things as you go and all will be well.

Well I do gotta say Thankyou for your confidence and ya know when they say you can’t teach old dogs new tricks well I’m not a dog but getting up there in age and I actually am learning here at WA ! lol : )
I’ll be 57 oh yeah lol . It’s all good though . I’m happy and finally doing something I want to do for a change ... Although I’ve had a few set backs with my hubby being home for awhile . I hope the Drs at Santa Barbara , Ca can fix his heart and get it back into rhythm so he’ll feel good again ... for he has AFIB . Arteriafibulation is what it’s called ... I’ve got faith so all will be better after he has his procedure on April , 6th .. He sure keeps me hopping lol ...

He has had his heart troubles too. He has come back with the all clear thank goodness.

This is good information. I didn't know there were different rules for different countries either. It was a learning moment for both you and your customer. You can't know everything or be right 100% of the time. It's how you handle the situation that makes the difference. If they know you are sincere and will get them the correct information then you can build trust with your customer which will keep them in the long run.
Btw, why are these restrictions in place? Is it a WA policy or the customer country or an established trade/business policy between the US and other countries? Just curious in case I am ever in that situation.

From all accounts its something to do with high fraud in those countries but dont quote me on that. I am not a million percent sure. :-)

don't feel embarrassed and don't worry about losing your trust. I am an Indian and know the Indian mindset quite well.
I don't think he will question your integrity, on the contrary, he will be able to make a right decision of joining WA, after discussing for an hour.
Many WA members don't know the fact that including India, above countries are not eligible for free membership.
