Breaking News, I'm Ranking!
I'm interrupting my Affiliate Analogy Series, to bring you some breaking news!
I received an email from Kyle that the latest post for my website, which I wrote in SiteContent, was indexed by Google. At first, I thought this was no big deal. My site has been indexed for months and other posts I've written were indexed.
However, in the email, Kyle said to check my rankings in Jaaxy, which I did. Now that is where the big surprise came. My site is ranked on Page 1, Position 2 in BING! Upon seeing this, I went through a whole range of emotions.
Excitement ...just a burst of happiness
Pride...I actually accomplished a milestone
Hope...maybe I will be successful as an Affiliate Marketer
Panic..people might actually go to my site and read it
Urgency....I better get to work
Actually, it is panic that I feel the most. My site isn't ready. There is so much I need to do. There is so much I still don't understand. For the first time on this journey I feel overwhelmed. In my mind I'm thinking, "What do I do now?" But, I know the answer. Continue doing what I have been doing....continue with training and doing the action steps to develop and improve upon my site.
I do want to point out what an incredible tool we have in Jaaxy. Aside from the keyword searching, to be able to check our rankings is powerful...and I only have access to the Lite version that comes with my Premium membership. I do have to explore Jaaxy more. Who knows what else it can do?
One other point. All this got me curious about my rankings in general. Although Jaaxy didn't indicate a ranking in Google, when I searched my site (incognito) in Google, I was ranked on Page 1, Position 10! I don't know why Jaaxy's results are different. The other thing I didn't realize is that the website is ranked, but so are the individual pages. I'm not too concerned. I'll figure it all out. Right now, I better get back to the training!
We Can Do This Together!

Chris,
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I'm go to start following you!
Debbie
Congrats Debbie and don't stress over your site not being ready as your site will always be a work in progress
Congratulations to you. Overwhelm is a common feeling both here in WA and in those who have not yet joined but are struggling through the online blogging and website world.
Just remember to breathe. All of those feelings are normal and of course you are ready. Just keep at the training and doing more of the same. It's obviously working.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen
Karen,
Thanks for the encouragement. It's a little success but something to keep me going.
Congrats Debbie!
It is exciting when these things happen. I use Jaaxy a lot when it comes to site rank. I use another browser to search in that I don't use for anything else (Firefox).
I find Jaaxy is right every time.
Thanks for commenting. That's a good idea about a dedicated browser.....I've added you to my network!
