Affiliate Analogy Continues….

J is for Juicing

Juicing is a very popular trend in the nutritional field. Although, I don’t juice all the time, when I do I always feel more energized. Why is that? Why should we use juicing as a good option for optimal health?

What is Juicing

What exactly is juicing? It’s a process of combining a variety of fruits and vegetables into a drink, using a juicer. Sounds simple enough, but it is quite a messy process. Buying, cleaning, and cutting all those fruits and vegetables is quite an ordeal. A 10-pound bag of carrots only produces one glass of juice. The Juicer itself takes up so much counter space…..mine is the Champion brand and it has several parts to keep clean. Making a smoothie in a blender is so much easier, but it not the same as drinking a glass of fresh, homemade juice. Smoothies retain all the pulp (insoluble fiber) and juicing separates the pulp out (hence the mess). Actually, juicing still provides plenty fiber in the form of soluble fiber. If you combined the same amount and variety of produce in a blender, verses a juicer, it just does not taste as good. Plus, it is unpleasant to drink because it is so thick.

Why Should We Juice

So, if juicing is such an arduousness process (in my opinion), why do I bother? Because there are just so many benefits:

  • Juicing allows me to consume the recommended amount of vegetables in an efficient manner. It is recommended that we eat 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables of day, but only one in 10 Americans eat this amount.
  • Juicing helps me absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Unfortunately, eating less-than-optimal food over the years has compromised my digestive system. Consequently, my body’s ability to absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables is compromised. Juicing starts the digestion process for me so I can receive more of the nutrition. In addition, processed and cooked foods destroy the nutrients by actually changing the chemical composition.
  • I can add a wider variety of vegetables in my diet. It is so easy to eat the same vegetable every day. Its been said that we should eat all the colors of the rainbow to get a larger variety of nutrients. Each color family has unique micronutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
  • Increases my energy. Since juice is absorbed and utilized by the body very rapidly, I feel an almost instantaneous "kick" of energy.
  • Promotes Healing. The latest nutritional recommendations recommend eating a plant-based diet, as it is linked to a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and even some cancers. I'll take all the help I can get to stay healthy.

Stunning analogy, Debbie. I find juicing very detoxifying too. And WA has removed all the toxic residue of all the scams out there. So many members have come here with past hurts and frustrations, having lost money on some scam or another and find WA like a shot of great detox juice, washing all the pain and angst away.

Beautiful addition....your words express my feelings better than my own! Lol

That is a good analogy there Debbie, WA is our one-stop for nourishment for sure. tried the juicing thing so much to tidy up, I think I am more a slam it in the blender guy,n summer here so plenty of fresh fruit and berries to make some really nice smoothies.

Actually, the easiest thing is just to eat them as is! Thanks for commenting.

So true Debbie.

that is why it grows in popularity in recent years.

Absolutely....thanks for the comment.

Wow! More appetite for and from WA!

Thanks for stopping by....I can never get enough!

Not to mention commissions from the sales of Blendtek, Vitamix, Ninja 9000 and other high-end juicers and blenders can be pretty hefty.

Very good point!

I work part time at Costco. The brand ambassadors demo those products there occasionally and they make very generous commissions on sales of those items. They sell for $399 and up at Costco. Even more on Amazon.

I love juicing Debbie. I practically eat my V8!

It's all good!
